asa a rroma person i appreciate you going out of your way and doing research in order to avoid making a racially insensitive design. most people do not give us that courtesy and its rare for us to even be mentioned in a positive light. i appreciate you and that effort

Hi there! Your art is so so so amazing. I’m a professional character designer and have a helpful tip for you! I’d really look in to studying shape language and exaggeration of proportions. Your costumes are amazing and tell a great story, and I think molding the body underneath the costume will only benefit your design journey. Maybe our space cowboy has really long/lanky legs and broad shoulders, maybe our robot lady has super wide hips to attract patrons, etc. Good luck and I can’t wait to see where your characters go!! 💕💕

I can't help it, I always end up gravitating to sketchbook videos and it's what I enjoy watching most and working on most. Big pieces are stunning but sketchbook pieces always have that certain something that doesn't translate anywhere else. Even when they're not as technically good or well done or thought out it's still got that sketchiness umphf you know? I just love sketchbook videos and working in my sketchbook, even when the art is shitty I still love that the most. I love the last oc you made the most, but they're all so pretty and cool. The first one has amazing hair.

a tip from one artist to another- make sure when using alcohol markers to be in a well-ventilated room or wearing a mask. apparently the fumes can be really bad for you if you're exposed to too much. I used to use alcohol markers quite a lot on pieces, like not how you do it but on every part likely 10-20 different layers of markers (yes i'm crazy when it comes to colors). I noticed when using alcohol markers so much my lungs were kinda hurting so i looked it up and found that out. I deal with asthma pretty badly, and with how intensively i use them i would be exposed to a lot of fumes, so I just decided to use watercolor and other mediums, rather than markers. just wanted to mention this in case you didn't know it, cause I had no clue about it. (I commented this on another artist's vid to inform them, and used it here just to inform ya, your art looks great btw!)

there's a webtoon called marionetta which isn't exactly like the last character's story but it does share the same sort of aesthetics and is about a ghostly circus! i'd definitely recommend checking it out!

I have a character design exercise with my friend, we pick up some products (usually food and other things we find on supermarkets) and make characters based on it, flavor, smell, shapes, colors, almost everything and also make a personality based of it

I can just imagine the android being surrounded by sci-fi Art Deco architecture, stuff like Metropolis (1927), Bioshock, Gadget: Past as Future, The Rocketeer, etc. all those imposing geometric shapes fit dark sci fi settings like a glove.
