I'm a staunch conservative but there is one state that is far over policed and that's Arizona. Nearly every officer in Maricopa and Phoenix PDs are on the Brady List and they actively attack the constitutional rights of all Americans they come into contact with. Not just unlawful arrests, excessive force, and slayings but prior restraint and the weaponization of the Freedom Of Information act to the point the DOJ had to do the largest investigation of any PD in the history of this country on the Phoenix PD. There are many counties that need extra policing but a police state is the outcome of PDs like that of Arizona counties being allowed to go unchecked.
