808’s and Heartbreak is next and I cannot wait! Kanye changed the game with that one!! The one thing I would like to say about Graduation is that at that time 50 Cent was killing the rap game. I specifically remember Kanye switching release dates on his album to come out the same week as 50’s Curtis album. A bold move on Kanye’s part. 50 laughed it off and basically suggested Kanye was crazy to try to challenge him at the time. Low and behold Kanye sold over 900,000 units the first week to take the #1 spot. 50 sold 600,000. Their careers have never been the same since.

They had a fake rivalry but it was to promote them both. 50 cent predicted Kanye would outsell him
@ismo95292 жыл бұрын
50 knew kanye would outsell him, because 50s label didn't put the effort in promoting his album. So 50 decided to challenge Kanye as he was promoted heavily by jay-z's label, pretty smart move to promote your own album through another artist with another label. Smart move right there, that's why 50 making great business deals.

@@keithdoubleo7428 what I'm saying is straight facts. 50 wrote about it in his book and Kanye talked about it. Both stories seem to be the same. 50 didn't even retire after that, and you believing that shows how this was a good executed marketing trick. Rappers beefing creates sales, the same way you ll be seeing Kanye beefing with drake before dropping an album and afterwards partying together. Gullible kids tend to believe anything that's told to them.
