Agreed, but it is expected for those who have money to follow along. DIY builds are still possible providing local codes are followed, and that's how you keep the costs down. During the gas crunch I remember people who were financially stable spending ridiculous amounts of money buying and fixing up little cars just to save a little more on gas. Sure there's pee in the pool, but we can use the opposite side. 😊👍🏻

I assumed a cooler was in one of the cupboards (basically all of the storage was that sink/bench unity). Get home, throw clothes in sink. Tap around on laptop, then watch the big ass wall set tv. This isn't a home, its a capsule hotel. Probably eats out every day, comes home to sleep. Toilet for emergency shit. Shower is for aesthetics.

Yeah, the couch/bed transformation I'm sure, is a no go for a lot of people. At $65K it's way overpriced considering there's no land, storage, roof, foundation, HVAC, major appliances and probably minimal insulation.

@@tarequekhan1993 Good luck, tiny house builders make less than builders in the traditional housing market and many don't make it because the margins are too tight for any mistakes as you'll instantly be in the red... Running an actual business has its costs in addition to the product you're making... Most startup business owners work up to 80 hour weeks but make less than minimum wage in actual income as everything just goes back into the business to keep it going and growing for the first few years before it's considered a success or failure... Competition is also fairly fierce as there are hundreds of builders across the country and many of them will deliver homes to any of the other states and even up into Canada, which also has builders who will deliver to the states... There's even some who have started building in Mexico to be able to undercut other builders on costs... Btw, container homes in California typically have to meet local building codes, etc. that'll add to the costs... Here's a video series of someone building a container home and you can see what extra hurdles they made him go through... kzbin.infovideos Less strict on units used as ADU's but there's a reason the average cost of a ADU in California is over $100K...

For commercial container conversion that's actually done right... Unlikely, most under this are cutting corners... But you can build one yourself for less or find one that isn't so nicely done. Check out youtube channel Containing Luxury, it's an educational channel on building containers. They even offer seminars where they can train you to DIY but are posting videos you can check out for figuring out how much container builds actually cost and what building choices effect the price the most...

Supongo q Tyni es cuando el diseño de interiores actúa y hace de un espacio pequeño algo estéticamente confortable. Me gusta ese concepto porque es más fácil de limpiar, no es eco porq le incorporan tecnología pero está chévere... There isn't much cost difference from building a 20' container home from a 40' container home... But smaller may work better for some people who may only need a backyard office, ADU, etc... Though, this is just their first unit... They're apparently going to offer both 20's and 40' models and possible scalability by combining multiple units...
