This is my interpretation after a few days of reflection: the lawnmower represents the task of work, and the massive, endless lawn represents the work of a lifetime. The farmer is clearly focused on his work, putting on gloves and ear muffs to prevent any distractions while moving indefinitely forward. Coming across the container of water, the same time the line “Paradise filled dream” comes along, suggests the short moments of pleasure consumed, I find it interesting it is depicted as a container, as though pleasure is contained separate from the reality of work and labor. The girl seems to be a mirage or hallucination, created from the desires of a constant worker. The video ends with him continuing to mow, devoted to his work throughout despite the short distractions. Overall I find this a symbolism of the life of a modern laborer.

Probably my favorite song on the album. I don’t know why people are saying the album is a disappointment. I completely disagree. I think it’s more fair to say, Peripheral Vision and Good Nature set the standard so high for Turnover before this release, that people were expecting something else. It may not be as masterful as those, but on its own, it is still a very good album and I thoroughly enjoy it as a huge Turnover fan.

It's criminal how underrated this band is. My little sister sent me peripheral vision and I was honestly blown away! When I looked at the small view count for the album I was stunned... It begs the question... how can a middle of the road average band such as coldplay go multi platinum global and yet a truly talented band like this be unrecognised?
