Another method of getting enormous damage scaling on the Swords is to go Siege Weaponry. It's spicy too, but there's a LOT less investment, and you can take a different Body gear. Engineer with Defense Drones is a solid combo to support it with. Edit: and Courser/Swords/Temporal Shield = Crobat. Who knew?

Honestly I want to see a sword build based around phantom strike and a bunch of double taps now. The flurry of blades going off every ram was really cool, and I want to see what happens if you invest in it.

Since you are looking for fun things to do with swords, you should try the targeting tree. Does nothing to the swords really, but it turns the sparks into psudo sharks. Throw on more projectiles, and they can easily fill the screen with sparks on a good swing through some projectiles. Then, there is of course the build you dont want to hear. Strafing strikes can ramp thesword damage considerably just from strafing in the same direction over and over. Turns battery into something akin to hullbreaker.

Something else that blades can do: Hullbreaker Apotheosis. Normally, taking Apotheosis on Hullbreaker is probably the absolute worst decision you can make, for... incredibly obvious reasons. But with Blades, it lets you essentially get the damage and aoe of the higher tiers of Celestial Lance without any of the self-damage, and do hullbreaker stuff without worrying about crash or knockback at all. Plus, it's the perfect build to name the "Sword Saint" build.

Honestly, I'm not particularly creative when it comes to Nova Drift. With these new swords, I think my favorite go-to has just been the usual Research setup to get enough Evolutionary Niches that switching to Engineer results in having three sets of swords instead of just two, and taking Charged Shot for that sweet burst damage. (Bravado and Ataraxia-5 help a LOT with this.) And finally, both Phantom Strike and Outrage Module, which runs the risk of dying by exploding rammer enemies but lets you just bump into something and instantly give it the Bury the Light treatment. (Though then, I tend to take a mix of offensive and defensive upgrades, and in this situation it's almost always leaning fully into stacking hull strength and regeneration rate via normal mods but banishing things like hypermetabolism.)

This was definitely one of your more interesting builds and all those chaotic ambitions at the start did some interesting things to the mod pool. ... I don't think Grandeur is supposed to show up quite that frequently. It does make me wonder about two different builds though. First, how would blades handle Siege Weaponry? The basic interaction should be the same as this build, but it's also interacting with the ramping damage in an odd way, since it's converting the speed you'd normally gain into damage instead. Would it result in a slower damage ramp, allowing you to maintain it for longer? Second, if you get an early Chaotic Ambition, how far can you push the Grandeurs? What can you do to minimize, or mitigate, the your continually decreasing speed and how many free levels can you pull out of it?

You could have banished normal mods when you had one reroll, a rule of thumb is to NEVER press the reroll button when there is a mod to banish.

I get the feeling that Lee believes that removing wild mods from the pool is going to help with the Chaotic Ambition overload. It won't. The number of wild mods stays the same, there's just a smaller pool to pick them from. And if there aren't enough, you get Voids.

Are you sure? I feel like if that was the case I would have seen a void in this video. On top of that, I had so few wild mods in the pool that I was still getting regular mods during a transmogrification set (which I would imagine would show up as voids if what you said was true).

"The Void is a special mod that only appears naturally in the mod pool once the player has started exhausting all upgrade options." If you have to exhaust all options, it will necessarily show the available options if it can.

Huh. I tried to avoid using burst fire (the mod itself) in order to avoid the annoying delay but apparently stacking the double taps does the same thing. I did not have barrage due to this. Anyway what I ended up with was basically unleashing a storm of seemingly 100 sword strikes to the enemy's face then a ridiculous cooldown. What SHOULD work... would be the other wild mod of which the name eludes me. The one that adds another projectile. Assuming a sword counts as a projectile. Theoretically what would happen if you could get a bunch of those at the same time? Is that doable? Would you use barrage (and therefore one burst fire) with that or just use it on its own? I'm not sure if it would add sword attacks to the sequence or just hit with more at the same moment. I'm not even sure if that particular mod is stackable.

Because there are very very few builds that can survive, let alone beat multiple challengers at once. Especially as the challengers can be bosses. I tried eight at one point. I did not survive.

Yo C-uys, why don t you try the BEErrage build? just shark build but slow projectiles and ALL projectiles (convergence helps), with burn damage, splinter and warp shot are kinda core to make em look like a swarm, it will BEE a swarm (ye i know those jokes sucks but ye) heavy calibers for the BEEg and nothing else, just look at the BEEs BEEing mean and attack your enemies also optimizing is amp, but BEE is halo edit: it has BEEn checked: BEEld has BEEn done in 2019... it s BEEn a while... i swear i stop
