This model is all about convenience. One thing to point out, it’s completely self-contained. No receiver or amp required. If my preteen daughter suddenly got into vinyl (there’s no shortage of it in my house) this might make a great starter for her. I have a full setup with individual components, cause I also love the different forms of media, though I don’t have any 8-tracks 😀. I very much enjoy my Audio-Technical At-LP120. I only upgraded the stylus to an Ortofon Blue.

That's a good player for a kid or a starter set for a newbie. I really need and appreciate a counter weight in order to dial in the correct stylus preasure. It does look neat as far as the lines.

What turntable, amp & speakers do you use for your own personal setup Brendon?

I think so many people today are concerned with space and I can understand that, however, since I have the space and I’m fortunate to have that, I prefer the old fashion, power speakers, and I like them separated.

Hey Brendon, I have to agree with you on the high frequency, too much is no good for me either. I need a good balance as well. Too much of everything is not good. I need the low a bit more just like you. That is why I have my iPhone set on setting “Late Night” that one gives me enough highs and lows. That’s it from here. Take care. 🇩🇪Bill

The only thing about Auto stop I didn’t like is that it often cuts off BEFORE the record/song ends.
@BrendonSnyder2 жыл бұрын
Oh I’ve never had that happen. But as I understand it, a counter weight prevent auto shut off so you can only have one or the other.

@@BrendonSnyder this is actually going back to 1987, when Autostop was being introduced on tabletop Stereos by Soundesign. I’m sure it’s improved greatly since then.

Man now that u got a house u NEED U a REAL HI FI. Towers , the whole nine yards. Jealous of your music room. That's the only thing it's missing!! Wrong word. Envious. Funny I live in an apartment and I have a big ass stereo I barely get to jam. Need a house, but in this market I'll be waiting awhile. Definitely building a music room like yours when I get there. Way to go I couldn’t agree with you more. I am very old-school I like component systems and tower speakers. Just purchased some Klipch tower speakers with Dolby Atmos. I’ve always felt that those of us who have invested a lot in their collections should also invest and good equipment to play them on.

Great test album! I wish Steve Perry would do something like this release now! But there's no way I'd be interested in a turntable that did not allow me to adjust something as simple as the tone arm balance. That's a critical yes/no factor to me. For an extra $100 or so you could get one of the Audio-Technica AT-120LPUSB turntables that has the weight (a very important factor in keeping the vibrations from speakers from shaking the turntable), counterbalance, anti skating, and ability to change the stylus functions. BTW, did it have a built-in preamp? You may have mentioned that but I didn't remember if so. I'd recommend just spending the extra $100 so that you can protect not only your records but the turntable itself. Brian in Fort Worth 🎶😎
@BrendonSnyder2 жыл бұрын
No built-in pre-amp. As I mentioned, I think this model is intended for beginnings who are not audiophiles.
@Bootradr2 жыл бұрын
@@BrendonSnyder Oh yeah I understand that. I know you weren't recommending it or anything. I just hoped if anybody was looking for a new turntable or looking for topics on what they should buy that my comment might be something they'd look into. I hate the thought of someone not knowing yet and buying something that could actually ruin there new or prized albums when they play them. I know when I was young and growing up, I had no idea about counterweights, weight of the turntable, etc. Heck I would put a penny on the end of the tone arm irreplaceable needle and tape it on if the record was skipping haha. Just getting back into vinyl myself within the last 2 years has been a real learning lesson for me. It does take time but you do learn if you search. I'm really surprised at how much KZbin was a helpful tool. I know just about every topics on KZbin but I was surprised at how in depth some of the videos were indescribing some important things when buying a turntable. I didn't even realize the vinyl community was so big and had so many fascinating and interesting channels like your own! It's all been super helpful to me but I didn't even know exactly what I needed to look for either back then. Like I said, growing up I didn't ever think about or really know about those topics and I didn't have anything much more than the turntable that was a part of the stereo with the tape deck and that kind of thing in the 1970s/1980s :-) I'm still not sure how long or how fast turntables like this one take to really start damaging LPs? But I guess it's right from the beginning actually? I know I've ruined hundreds of albums growing up yet I still didn't really know there were so many factors back in the days before the internet. Have a good one Brandon and I enjoy the videos! Brian in Fort Worth 🎶

I have a Teac All in One stereo connected to my Onkyo receiver connected to Polk Audio towers. It's 👌 Full 5.1 surround sound in both the living room and bedroom. It's ridiculous really. With your house and being such a big music fan you need something way sweeter than that. Just my opinion really. This comment probably comes off way more pushy than I mean it too. That's got a ceramic cartridge on it which unless the impedance is perfect is gonna sound like 💩. A ceramic cartridge can sound good. My teac has a ceramic cartridge and it sounds ok but it's the rare case. Usually ceramic cartridges sound bad. Anyways this comment gets the buzzer!! 🤣💩

Well as I mention in the video, it’s hard to get an accurate representation of sound through a demo like this since it’s recorded on a microphone and playing out different speakers on your send than the original speakers of the player.

awful company, the sound quality of the record player is horrible. Good luck trying to return it. they charge a 15% return fee and you pay shipping, thats if they even allow you to return it. There are much better options out there.
