You really tried with the details e. g. the background going dark in caves; the music is probably as close to the original as it could be, and it's quite a cool rendition as well I sure am rooting for this to be completed!

Yes, and all without any added hardware. The use of a megarom cartridge (already available in the eighties) I was able to put ingame music and this high quality sampled voice. The sample itself occupies 128 KB 😉

This is really good! Never expected a Turrican game for MSX to look so close to the Amiga version in style, nor play this well! Do you plan any QoL improvements (a la traditional hit points a la most platformers and later Turrican games), and infinite wheel options (or maybe the ability to refill wheel uses via items, up to 3 max), or maybe loss of the timer, kinda like a modern mode.
