Nice video! Love how you walk thru from street to beach. Gives a clear picture of how things are laid out and how close camp sites are to beach.

camped there a year and a half ago in a rented VW camper from florida oldscool campers. Great little RV, and a really nice little campground.

Hi Charlie and Jen, welcome to Florida! We live about an hour north of Siesta Key, we actually fell in love with Lido Key. Check it out while you are in the area. We have talked about staying in that campground when we finally get our truck camper (may be alittle while yet). But always nice to see your adventures. Take care and enjoy! Laurie

HOW MUCH WILL COST TO PARK AN RV A MONTH AND WHAT ABOUT THE WATER AND POWER THANKS.
@Fockerizer8 жыл бұрын
1st you should make reservations about 6 months in advanced (Recommended). I am going down there next week (June 3rd). Made my reservations in January. I'm staying for 10 days for $280 (Full Hook Up). Not sure you can get a month. Maybe, I would call. They are REAL nice people, especially the manager. Good Luck !

We just booked for early April (2015). I've heard "mixed reviews" but we as a family still want to try this place ourselves. Any advice, tips, or information (positive or negative) would be helpful. BTW, great video!

Sashacola How was your experience at the campground? We are looking to book mid July (2015) and I would really appreciate an honest review. Thank you

Marianne Stein Marianne - we have been to Turtle Beach campground many times in the past few years, and it continues to be one of our favorite campground in Florida! Its beautiful sites coupled with a short walk to the ocean is very hard to beat! Every time we go we make new friends and spend each night at dusk sitting on the beach toasting a fantastic sunset!

Sashacola Hi Marianne Stein. Here's our honest review of Turtle Beach Campground (positive and negative). Starting with the positive. The beach was GREAT! Beautiful, clean, clear, and well kept. We spend a lot of time there and really enjoyed ourselves. Like everyone says, the sunset are amazing/spectacular to say the very least. The beach itself makes the entire camping experience well worth it. The staff were very friendly and polite. The campground too was also well kept up and clean. Now the negative. The camp sites are extremely small. We had site # 17. We own a Rockwood hard wall folding A-frame camper. If we had something bigger (5th wheel, large travel trailer, etc.), it would have been impossible to have backed it into our site. The (only) men's restroom only has 2 showers. My son and I had to wait 30-40 minutes every night to take showers. They really should consider building another restroom/bath house for the amount of people/sites this place has. We also noticed that there was no staff after 6 pm. If I owned a campground, I would make sure there is either someone (staff member) there at night or have a campground host. Thankfully everyone was quite and there were no problems while we were there but felt security could have been better. Overall, I think the place is nice (3 out of 5 stars). I would camp there again as long as I have a smaller RV/camper. I will not recommend if you have a larger RV. BTW, you must eat at Turtles Restaurant across the street one night. the place was great and prices are fair.

Sashacola THANK YOU! We have a small pop up, so I think this might be a good fit for us. I appreciate the heads up about the men's restrooms; I'll make sure to mention it to my husband to avoid any lines. This will be our first visit to Siesta Key, so any and all restaurant and/or extra activities recommendations are greatly welcomed. We appreciate you taking your time to write the review. :)

old .northsider when they don’t tell you, you can be sure it’s high. I don’t know a dollar figure though but it is a small site and on very expensive real estate.

Too bad that according to their rules published on their website no animals allowed . . . strikes them from our list.

Thats sad what RVer doesn't have a dog or two?

Maybe because dogs are not allowed on the beach - still.
