You should put the name of the alphabet series in the title. That way it will be easier categorize when there are 20 videos of this style. Great vid, looking forward for more!

Honestly, I would recommend not doing this. People are less likely to click on later parts of a “series” if you categorize them like that Putting it on a playlist should be well and good enough for people who want to watch it as a series

I did the publishing of this video very quickly before heading out for the weekend, and I didn't have time to figure out the branding. I think the length of the video titles are getting a bit out of hand, so I wasn't sure what to do on trhe spot. Once I figure something out, I'll no doubt update the thumbnail with something that also makes it more obvious. Thanks for the feedback, eh!

Coming back to the game after 3-4 years away. Never really watched back then but this content is ideal for bingeing now, nice to see you're still going.

The NSG Aumakua text isn't really "different" so much as the FFG text was outright incorrect in the first place. Aumakua always only cared about the breach step (back then the "access cards" step), which is why you could get Aumakua counters from an empty archives.

I wouldn't say FFG text was "incorrect" just confusing since "access a card" and "access cards" meant different things under FFG. Pinhole would have been worded "instead of accessing cards, access a card...". The text on counter surveillance is similarly weird

As someone terrible at designing decks - which makes the period after the release of a set quiet unenjoyable - this is exactly what I need: here is a deck that is at least decent, and this is how it's meant to be played. Too many decks seem crazy shenanigans, and I have no idea what to do with them and just have a rubbish time.

This is a grimey brawler of a deck and I mean that in the best way

Since you mentioned it at the front, I would honestly recommend just building Standard for the entire series. I love Startup a lot, but I don’t think the format is in a very good place after the RWR rotation.

Sorry Ryan - I'm bummed to hear that. I might dip my toes in just for one deck, to see first hand what things look like.

Great vid as ever! Have you considered Acacia in this kind of deck? And also, have you ever played against the outfit? Must be an interesting matchup. Cheers 🖖

During an earlier build, I was considering Heliamphora in the deck, and I think I'd like it a bit more than Acacia. If we needed more economy, I feel like we'd be better off importing something more direct that we have more control over. A Contimante could also be cute. The Mining Accidents are definitely suspect in the Outfit matchup, but Aumakua can go pretty far if you can get it to six strength. It's a weird matchup. The Boomerangs do work for sure.

Having played the Mining Accident Crim Archetype quite a bit previously, I was pondering two question with this list first and foremost, and I (though I know this is a themed video series) found that a lot of the times, Sable might also be a valuable home for the shell. As such, there are two immediate questions that sprung to my mind when I looked at your list: - Crim is currently very afraid of running into Tributary; how much do you think does 419 do to alleviate this? - Before RWR, I found that Sable worked better for me in this shell, as Sable gives a much bigger payout (an extra click and Info Bounty) for being able to run cheaply (Mining Accident). What is the end-game state this deck typically reaches? Does is feel more like a control deck that tries to stop the corp from winning during later stages of the game?

I think 419 has two edges into Tributary. Firstly, you have Aumakua, which is eventually one of the most cost effective ways to deal with Tributary. Secondly but more importantly, Tributary forces a consistent install on the Runner's turn, which fires 419's ability. It's pretty cute. I think Sable and 419 can shake out as reasonably similar decks. I value 419's ability to slow the game down economically. Due to Aumakua, you still force the Corp to ice all servers, which is not dissimilar to a Corporation respecting Sable's mark. However, spreading out the Corp while also threatening their economy feels like it goes a bit farther. Perhaps the biggest difference is that 419 doesn't often making value runs, but rather highly targeted runs. The fun in this sort of 419 deck is discovering and exploiting the specific weakness in the Corp's board state, and using that to snowball Aumakua. I'm not convinced we can make good use out from a random Sable mark on most board states. A lot of the good stuff Sable lists do run a single Aumakua, but it's not the crux of the game plan. It's definitely worth giving Sable a shot in a similar shell, but I reckon you'll end up with a richer and more well defended Corporation, which isn't a great start. Sable is good fun though.

The fact that "Deck Explanation" is not Deckspanation, is criminal.
