I think there is something to be said about Elephant's combos with blow fish and camel for beginner players. It was how I started getting consistent wins, either with a blowfish and tiger or a camel and hippo/boar/scorpion. Now camel is significantly worse, and strategies ARE better, but for an early player an elephant is a good place to start!

I think that elephant is great for arena with blowfish/camel, but in 1v1’s it seems a little too gimmicky to go for it, relying on you getting both pieces early, whichever one you chose, as well as the confusion on who to stat up and level. The consistency for the combo isn’t worth the loss of potentially picking a different tier 3 unit, I’ve tried it multiple times and generally regret it everytime

Oh I wasn't even trying to give feedback! I never get to talk about this game with anyone. I still consider myself a beginner at 150 hours in the game, so diving into strategy in youtube comments is my only outlet!!! okay I never run whale, deer or shark It didn't work out for me in the past but considering how correct your many other ratings are I feel I'm missing an important repetoir. I don't use dragon much either How to find space for a dragon and level 1 pet? and no gaurantee of level 1 pet.

They’re insane, but making them work in a 1v1 scenario is extremely hard. In arena they’re great, plus if you go all in on a hippo it’s very easy to get countered. Boar is potentially only viable with a level 2 whale but there are generally always better choices, and was only good with a level 1 tiger with the old glitch of both animals that were ate by the whale coming out as level 2. In arena these units are great, 1v1s though not so much

Armadillo is the opposite of microbe, its fine for going against a hardcore sniper build

yeah bison in a 1v1 puts you in a horrible spot, you have to keep a bad level 3 tier 1 unit indefinitely for a +1+2 each turn on one unit, not worth it

Hippo was actually very strong, but now they brought a big nerf

I think even after the nerf it’s still pretty good because you rarely got more than 3 triggers anyway before the nerf without going against summon builds

bro tiger with garlic hippo makes it possible for it to trigger 3 times and if u scale them up, fckin max dmg hippo within 2-3 triggers. could have max hp but uknow its always gonna get dmged no matter what, however its still gonna have high hp and solo most units then just put like abunch of crocs or summoners behind it and you finish them off easily

It’s gone from the pack, but when you can get it in weeklies and customs it’s extremely strong, I wish they kept it in the pack over pigeon though

No no hippo is a trap for new players. It seems really good but it takes up all your resources to keep it buffed/relevant, you’re better off losing to it for 1/2 turns and build up a different stronger unit
