So... I didn't THINK it was necessary to buy a smart outlet, BUT I started getting algae from leaving the light for too long. lol could've prevented it if I listened to you. Now I had to purchase them, haha, from your link, of course. Thank you tho! 😊😊😊 excited to set the timing now

There’s a difference between smart plugs and smart outlets. Smart outlets are physically part of your house, which makes your house a smart home. Smart plugs are just an add-on.

You finally came over to the smart plug side! I first learned about these plugs from another KZbinr I watch who is a snake keeper and has tons of snakes. He had these on all his snake enclosures and showed them in one of his videos once as a side note. I got my first one like 2 years ago and it does make things so much easier. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😂🐢

Unfortunately I live in an area that has bad wifi. I have to reset my router several times a day! I have tried all companies that service my area and they all have problems. So the old fashioned one is best for me.

I have been using those since i started my turtle tank. I’ve been using Wyze Smart plug prior before to automatically turn Christmas decorations on and off for the season lol

So back in may last year when I was researching all the things I would need for the turtle I now have, I realised I would need a timer, didn’t have a timer, but what I did have was several smart plugs, and the rest they say is history, I completely agree with everything in this video, I love using my smart plugs, I get to name what each plug is connected to so to avoid confusion, I get a notification if the plug doesn’t manage to turn the lights on, I can turn them on and off from my phone and it’s just sooo much easier and less messy 10/10 video as always, thank you🎉❤️

lovely idea, but will it run even youre internet is down? cause when electric is down the old timer wil not work, but thats not as often then the internet go off. let me know if it works without the wifi aswell

yes, they should still work regardless if wifi signal is lost briefly. you definitely need the wifi on to set them up though.

I didn’t know where else to go or who to talk to so i figured this is the best place. i have 3 red ear sliders who i adore and cherish so much beyond any means, i’ve been considering the thought of re-homing them since the lack of time to take care of them i work 8hrs monday- friday and i always get home a little late at night especially to find time for their water changes and cleaning their filters and everything of the sort they are happy and healthy since i do my best but i’ve been thinking of giving them to people who will be able to take care of them especially since there are 3 of them the water changes are constant i love them but am i making the worse choice in keeping them? or would giving them to people be better? i just need help to figure this out any comments are helpful!

I have a question that doesn't relate with the video. However it's your most recent video so I assume you might look at the comments more. My map turtle has stopped eating and is basking more often. Do you know what might be the problem? Or is there a problem? He's ate less food before but he's never really refused it.

Guys i need help, i cant get my turtle to eat in a separate container (as most turtle keepers do), he just won’t eat. He will look at the food and then get right back to trying to escape, he won’t eat in there at all. I had a large container and got an even bigger one and that didn’t work. He used to eat in the container as a hatchling but won’t now. He will only eat in the tank which dirties it up very badly And is messing up my live plants. It just makes such a mess. And even in the tank he is barely interested in the food,Im scared, should i take him to the vet? What do i do?

I purchased 4 of the WiFi timers. The setup was not smooth by any means. It took me 2 hours to setup the four plugs. I have an Android phone and my WiFi router has three bands. While the app was trying to connect with a plug the phone was searching for devices. It had difficulty taking my WiFi password. The app to!d me several times that I had no Internet connection. my router app could not find the forecasters times. After all that they are setup. Tomorrow I will see if the settings work correctly. Hoping for the best👍

@@TheTurtleGirl The next day one would not automatically go on. Everything worked fine, but ii found that the time zone was set 3 hours difference even though it was three feet from another one. Re-installed and the correct time zone came up so everything seems to be going good.
