Just seen a NYFT today near Darwin in a waterhole. Not dissimilar to the riparian ecosystem portrayed here. Popped up for air long enough to get a photo. Sweet!

Well done, they tend to be very shy even though they are very common in Top End waterways

Yes the sole little fish is called a Northwest Glassfish (Ambassis sp.). It hasn't been officially described yet, but has been known about for a long time.
