I think if you could shoot up and down then the game would definitely be way too easy. They would have to increase the amount of enemies which might not have been feasible or allow them to shoot projectiles too.

This version is magnificent! As i do love the arcade original - it is insanely difficult for me. Coleco version has the right level of difficulty and in its simplified beauty - more acceptable to enjoy playing.
