Thanks for explaining how to model in a very lucid manner. As you rightly said at the end of the lecture, one should make even a layman understand the science.

Sir, why you did not consider the air resistance to this double pendulum system. Since in real life the system will damp out. And if we want to add air resistance to the system, how should we do that. Thank you Sir

Maybe you can show in another tutorial how to visualize also the forces which acts in this system (e.g. side force to the cylinder from the piston with friction) ? That would be really great, because in praxis these are very important measurements.🤗

I have made my translation motion based model in matlab, and when I am importing this file in matlab, only the joints do not come in the simscape circuit. Rest of the elements are perfectly imported. Can u please help me out of this. Or can u please guide me in making a translation joint(one degree of freedom) in matlab using multibody. For ex:- a window pane sliding over the base. How can I do that in matlab.

please look carefully the coordinate system in your beam body. I would suggest to follow this video, it might be an advance video but will clear a lot of thing about body coordinate system: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jX_VnKushqeEfbc Just a request that please like share and subscribe my channel. It needs support to reach out to more people. :)

Yes, if both the bodies are vertical in case of double pendulum, then there should not be any motion.
