The amount of practical information which I have gathered from this video is amazing. These things are not available in the MATLAB Standard examples as well as any documentation. Also, what I found most interesting was the recommended modelling guidelines. These were definitely valuable info. Thanks! Subscribed for future content. Keep it up.

Thanks Dr. Suraj. I tried to reproduce your example. Looks like the Hydraulics (Isothermal) library will be removed soon. My suggestion is to review the example using the Isothermal Liquid library.

Hello Dr.Suraj. Thank you for your video. I was having trouble with the hydraulic actuator as it does not let me connect anything from the tank to the 3 way directional valve A port. I was wondering if there is a way I can work around this. I think someone else prior had the same issue. Thanks.

Hi! First i would like to thank you for these awesome tutorials! I have a problem with the Hydraulic Actuator from the Multiphysics library: I cannot make the connections between port C and port R to the prismatic joint! Is this because of some domain trouble? I dont have the Simscape Fluid library (i build my own 3-Way Directional Valve and the Valve Actuator). Thanks for your answer!

Thank you very much Dimitar for your kind words. :) Well if you are not able to make the connection then try to cross-check that the connections are of the same type because Simscape will never make connections if the two signals are of different type, for example of different units.

I have a question : I tried to configure the prismatic joint between the cylinder and the piston by using the state target (-0.35) instead of using the rigid transform (Cartesian translation -0.35m along y); i got behavior other than what you got, i thought that i could have the same behavior... Is there any explication?

Hi Khalil, that is a very good question and I am glad that you tried something different than the usual approach. I like that attitude :). Well all I can think about is that when you use the state target, then you are providing additional constraints to satisfy the mechanism at initial condition, therefore, your steady state manager may result in a different output. Whereas if you use rigid transform, then it implies that you are physically modeling your system as it should be without using any additional constraints. I hope you are satisfied with this explanation.
