Tutorial 13. UV Tools

This Tutorial is an overview of the different nodes available to create UVs in Houdini, and also covers setup, display and previewing of UVs and textures in Houdini, and demonstrates a quick way to display PBR textures.

Quick question: Do these tools all with UDIMs as well? For instance: would I just use UV Transform to push the UVs into the next UDIM space?

Unfortunately the principled shader doesn't have a slot for AO.

Hey, I'm really frustrated because I can't to find out how I can create UVs of a torus (created by a sweep) so that the both "hemispheres are not on top of each other. Also I don't understand how to cut islands, when I select loops that should divide the torus into 8 islands, I still only have island 0. I know I'm doing something wrong but IDK what it is.

Maya->Houdini ok so project is planar project, unwrap is auto project, uvflattern is unwrap, also cut/seam/allign/straighten uvs (pin is ignore while repacking) uvlayout is Layout uvautoseam is ... autocut (idk) uvtransform is moving along the pivot
