Hey Gabriel, In your book you're writing that it is possible to tell Anki how many new words you want to learn per day. I can't find this option. Is it in the newest version of Anki as well? Simon (from the Netherlands)

Hi, Gabriel. I've found one really small problem with the pronunciation trainer (for me anyway). I speak British English and the word bague in French is actually pronounced identically to bag in MY accent. I can easily tell the difference with the american English pronunciation though. What should I do?

hello Gabriel Wyner, I wondering about why the 'picture field' in spelling and sound, because in your book you wrote about: the first thing you have to do is start with the pronunciation and sound. After that you have start with translation ( the picture of the foreign word).

If you recall, the recurring theme of his book was "Make memories memorable". By adding the picture of the word that contains the sound you are trying to learn, you make a stronger connection to that sound. You are training your eyes to make the connection between spelling patterns and sounds by adding the word. By adding the image, you are connecting the image to the word to the sound and learning a lot of vocabulary at the same time. Killing 2 csirke with 1 stone (well, hopefully not literally :) )

Greetings Gabriel. I had a quick question for you. I was wondering, can this type of flash card be used to learn the alphabet of your target language and the sounds the letters make? I am wanting to learn Turkish and would like to learn the alphabet and the pronunciation of each of the letters and possibly combinations as well before starting to learn vocabulary to much.
