Hello, you are so good at this! Can you help me please? How can I do hair color gradation for Ornatrix? I hav ebeen struggling with hair coloring. No, it’s not game ready. It’s more for film dev or illustration. For transforming it to cards there is my other tutorial - hair for games :)

Is there any reason that you don't paint the mask in 3ds max? painting it in Zbrush or photoshop is good method but I just wonder that most people don't use painting mask in 3ds max. It seem that if I use it , it will add more stack in 3ds max so... is that why you don't? and also , it has some functional issue on painting mask in 3ds max I guess. Did you have those issues as I had when you paint in Ornatrix? Actually, I'm having those issues. Painting it in Ornatrix of 3ds max doesn't work well for me ....

@@Pompidou3Dstudio Thank you for your comment:) I just wanted to know if it's my problem or Ornatrix hahaha. Xgen has a similar problem and Ornatrix does too including unstable from crash... I think blender hair is quite good tool among free tools. Stable with no crash and painting mask works well:) even if Blender has problem on mask, we can paint it with texture paint tool of Blender:)

can i ask you what pc set up you are working on? im trying to work with ornatrix on some hair, but there is no way i could so fluidly move guides and i think to upgrade my station. thanks in advance, great tutorials!

Maybe you have a huge resolution on guides? Try decreasing the details. My pc is core i7, nvideo 630, 16 GB operative memory. To be honest I’m not that good in computer configurations but my PC is not that advanced. I worked on more older stations and everything was working fine.

Можно анимировать, правда в таком исполнении больше подойдёт для кино, для игры нужно изначально делать с другим подходом

It is animated by adding modifiers. Object quantity don’t restrict this :)

Quick question: i find comb brush very frustrating because everytime i try to comb hair, lets say i want to move the tips, roots end up diving in my character's head very easily. I find it very sensitive! Do you think its a matter of practice or do you use specifi values for brush the strenght? Thank you!

There is a brush pressure that decreases the sensitivity of the brush

If you watch closely I tick “generate Z coord” in vrayornatrix modifier (if I remember correctly otherwise check the render modifier) and in the texture I turn 90 degree W axis. Also try V axis.

Mr Shame basically yes, so that those who can’t buy the tutorial could watch it on KZbin. But you will need to stop it at the moments that you are interested in. Yes, process is the same in Maya and the names for operations is also the same.
