Yooo, Had a question will be really grateful if you could help. Recording Keyboard and Mouse sounds, My pc on the desk interrupts the audio (louder). This distrupts the asmr. Is there any way to get rid of the noice specifically? Should I just record the Pc hum then start using keyboard?
@ASMRTutorialsForYou28 күн бұрын
Hey! Sorry for the late reply, the holidays are busy for me! That is what you should do, but odds are, even if you perfectly capture the noise to cancel it out, it’ll be so loud that it will diminish the quality of the typing and noise sounds too much. So until you can record without the PC (I use a Zoom H6 and turn my PC off), just leave the noise in.

And then I’ll share how I edited THAT one 😱. I capture the audio using Loopback on my MacBook, which combines multiple audio inputs to a single selectable input that QuickTime screen recording can select.

Yeah! It's voice de-noise, RX7 by Izotope. They're on version RX9 now. Using it in the audio editor called Reaper.

How about ASMR sound effects like different triggers, aren't they gonna be reduced using this method?
@ASMRTutorialsForYou2 жыл бұрын
In general, no. If you completely remove all noise after capturing a profile, there's a good chance you'll reduce the overall fidelity of all of your audio, but in my experience a little noise reduction doesn't damage the quality of trigger sounds.

idk if anyone can help me but i've got a different laptop than before and on this one i have a new version of audacity. it's been a while since i used the mic (i use it for asmr). and for some reason it doesn't record properly. is it the newest version? (doubt it). is it my cable? (kinda seems broken but not sure, bc) it works fine when i speak into the mic. that's also why i don't think the mic itself is broken. i mean, i also don't remember dropping it or anything like that. anyone know about this?
@ASMRTutorialsForYou4 ай бұрын
What's the difference between before and now? What is proper about the recording on the newer version?
@strawberrypeach09124 ай бұрын
@@ASMRTutorialsForYou oh, thanks for replying. basically, it doesn't record as nicely as before. the quality bad. it doesn't react as sensitively, as in it doesn't pick up bg noise. i can hear it all still but it just doesn't record like it used to. the sound waves are smaller. singing is kinda fine though? sometimes, i think for one specific setting. i tried mic brushing for example. i can hear it well, but audacity doesn't pick it up when it's recording. i hope it's anything but the mic. i've had issues with the cable, but also since before. lose contact. but a little over a year ago i still could record. i'll definitely get a new cable soon. idk if it's worth buying the apple adapter to connect it to my iphone. 50€ or more are a lot rn
@ASMRTutorialsForYou4 ай бұрын
@strawberrypeach0912 That's so strange! I don't know why a new computer would cause such a change up. To me it sounds like the gain level is lower than before? How much do you turn up the gain on the Yeti?
@strawberrypeach09124 ай бұрын
@@ASMRTutorialsForYou it's a refurbished laptop, so i am not sure if this one has issues i wasn't aware of when i got it. i am not that much of an expert 😅 unfortunately, it's not a gain issue, i turned it all the way up, which is sth i didn't used to do on my other laptop. gonna get a new caple today/tomorrow and see if it changes anything. really don't wanna have to get the adapter yet

is there a way to reduce noise in obs? i wanted to livestream it
@ASMRTutorialsForYou3 жыл бұрын
That's a little more difficult. It can certainly be done (I do it when I livestream). I'll make a point to record a tutorial. For now - you'll need a DAW with real time non-destructive editing like Reaper, FL Studio, Studio One, etc and virtual cabling. Your audio should go from the mic into the DAW first, where the noise reduction tool is on the track, then the output of the DAW goes to OBS using the virtual cable. I use Izotope RX or Waves W43 for noise reduction and Loopback for my virtual cable.
Hey there! You can add to it whatever audio you select. The fastest way to select all is ctrl+A on a PC or cmd+A on a Mac.

Thank you for all your videos you're really helpful, if I may ask what do you think about the blue voice settings for the blue yeti (noise reduction, pop, etc...) ? Should I record without them for a better quality at the end or are they fine by default ? I don't know if you will see this message but thanks for everything anyway

Hi! I know this video is a few years old so I'm not sure if you'll see this, but this was SOOO so helpful. My only question is what version of audacity did you use for this?? I have it, but the format looks ancient and this version looks so much cleaner and well put together, not to mention the dark theme is nicer on the eyes. I've looked it up but I can't find any other versions to download!
@ASMRTutorialsForYou Жыл бұрын
I'm seeing this! Sorry it's taken me a while to respond. This was version 2.4.2, which was the last version before it was bought out and 3.0 was released. You should still be able to download that version! The theme is selectable in preferences.

Thank you Ian for taking the time to make another Audacity tutorial. If I/You were making a cheat sheet...would you say that for the Noise Reduction gauge - if you want MORE background noise removed, you go higher on the scale there? And if you want to reduce that tinny sound, you would...reduce the sensitivity -move lower on the scale? Or it genuinely could need to go either direction depending on the starting point? It's beginning to seem like I'll never get past this problem but I keep trying :(😅

Hey Tristen! I saw your comment here and one Audacity 101. Removing mic self-noise and room noise is the same process: record about 30 seconds of just the room you're in. Be as quiet as possible. Use that profile for the noise reduction tool.

@@ASMRTutorialsForYou thanks! It turns out it was an interference thing with electricity. It was beeping like a Morse code thing. Since I'm going towards asmr, i dont want this thing bothering me at all. So I bout those little magnetic clips that you find on adapter chargers for laptops. Hopefully this will fix the issue as with new people starting, it's all rigged up lol. But thank you regardless I learned very much from this video as well!
