Great video! I actually have the same mic and camera as you (based off your rec) and I recently recorded some stuff with out checking my camera audio levels, and it sounds terrible. I looked up what Rode recommends and they say to turn down the internal camera preamp as low as possible (so for the Sony A6400 that's 1) and I did sound test and it was perfect.

Hi Phillip: I have my own channel which is a combination of comedy, music, art and even dogs. Lately, my wife and I have been shooting cooking videos as we are both certified chefs. I just want to thank you for your videos which have been crucial to our learning. Setting up the sound and video locations accounts for a significant result of a video. Thanks to you, we have minimized our mistakes. Now we are setting up the sound and video as you instructed. Thanks again!

Your videos are awesome and it's making me excited to start my own KZbin Cooking Channel finally! I also plan on a cookbook so this would be a great way to segue into that. The thing is is now that I'm watching this I'm totally overwhelmed. I hear people say don't worry about it just get started just use your cell phone but really after watching this video it feels like I have to invest in quite a bit of equipment and I'm not very techy! But I do thank you for posting all of this. I guess I'm just going to have to find a millennial that will help me! Someone who knows how to do all of this technical stuff. Looking forward to more videos thank you. Thank you
