You said: "I didn't figured out the perfect way to do this yet.." Man, if you looking for perfect way, you should start with absolute basic first step: The flat end of grip start goes down, not facing the top. The only purpose of that skew beginning is, that you can line it with top and it will create perfect angle of grip spiral without bending it after first round and crating crease ;) Do you even realize that you are doing the same skew with scissors at the end? If you don't believe me, do reverse engineering and un-wrap new grip.

I noticed your stick has round profile. I tried to play with round profile shaft once but I just could not do it. The problem I faced was that with round profile there is to way of knowing exactly where your blade is pointing without looking at it. Because of this my passes were not as accurate as with oval profile. During intense game situations I did not have the time to check what way my blade is pointig at. With oval shaft I can close my eyes and know excalty where is the tip and where is the heel of my blade. In my club everybody plays with oval or square profile. So it just made me curious how are people able to play with round shafts?

I've been giving this a lot of thought and I honestly don't know, ahaha! Logically, as you say, it's definitely harder to "feel" where the blade is pointing when you play with a round shaft. The only possible explanation to how it's possible to play with a round shaft, is to notice a little OCD/tic that I do quite a few times in this video. Pretty much as soon as I pick up a stick, I spin it around and stop it. Some players do this more often than others, but I think there must be a connection there in terms of "feeling" where the blade is pointing without looking at it. BTW: I can't remember who it was, but someone told me that oval/hockey shafts are very popular in Finland; are you Finnish?

1337 Floorball Thank you for your answer. I live in Estonia, it's next to Finland.

sw0mpy If you learn to play with round profile, then you will have better stickhandling and if you find a good blade (I prefer medium blade) then you could stickhandle good and shoot good and give passes with quality.

sw0mpy Personally I play with oval profile because I have light grip on it, so stick is pretty light too and I can stickhandle pretty good too then.

does weight matter?

Depends who you ask. I think grippiness is a better criteria than weight, because it's a minimal gain and you'll probably feel the need to swap them sooner anyway. I think it's more economical to get a good grip; it feels good and lasts longer.
