I really appreciate the depth and straightforward content of your tutorials. Your step-by-step method is just what I've been looking for and I really like how you explain things without over-explaining things. For people making a bit more advanced CC and dabbling more in blender, this is a must-have tutorial especially. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your expertise and help the rest of us better understand! 💗💗💗

Your tutorials are awesome! I am learning blender 2.9, and now 3.0 just came out. So I would like to do my modeling etc in the newer versions and then export and import into 2.7.. to be able to get it into the sims studio. Those tutorials are really lacking on the internet, at least I couldn't find much. If you have tutorials on that, that would be cool! But I will keep watching your tutorials!
@Syboulette2 жыл бұрын
I never transferred to 2.8 and 3 because I feel confortable with the old ones. Maybe when I'll change game (sims 5 or something else), I'll change the version but for now I'll be staying with 2.7. Honestly, I don't think it changes that much the process, it's probably only shortcuts and plugins that would differ. You can probably search equivalent on google :)

This is awesome 🤘. I started playing the Sims when the Sims 1 first came out (I think i was 6 years old), and have played 20+ years (I'm currently 28). I'm pretty stoked to start the process of attempting to create CC. Thank you for these thorough tutorials ❤.

Thank you very much... I just started learning all this 3D magic and this video was a very good overview for me. I have just one question: Substance Painter creates very realistic textures which may not be what you want for Sims4 cc in terms of maxis match. But I like that you can work so easily directly on the 3D model. Do you have a tip how to use Substance Painter for maxis match? Is it just a matter of choosing and configuring the materials or is there a way to create substance materials in realistic in turn them into something more maxis match like?
@Syboulette Жыл бұрын
Substance Painter can perfectly works for maxis match ! You just have to choose a environment map that have neutral and balanced lighting all around the item and not too contrasted light. If you join my discord I can share the one I use now that I do MM. As for the textures, it is much more difficult as you'll need to create them with masks and filters or get stylized textures instead of realistic ones (or even handpaint them !)

Could you pleaseeee, pretty pretty please do a tutorial for a kitchen? It doesn’t need to be the entire kitchen, just the counters or the cupboards. I’m trying to model a kitchen set. I know all of the counters share the same I’ve map and you have to be a little meticulous on how you arrange the UV’s so the texture goes along seamlessly. Anyway, I’ve done all of that, looks perfect in blender but I CANNOT get the diffuse and AO maps to bake properly. I’ve created the counters using planes, with backface culling turned on and I made sure all of the normals are facing outward as they should. Still it bakes the Center faces black, pure black. I even turned off backface culling, didn’t matter. I played around with the lighting like crazy including the hdri lighting. It didn’t matter what I did it still bakes the same and idk where I went wrong or how to fix it and it’s driving me insane! Nowhere can I find a tutorial on kitchen counters and it sucks. If you could please do one that would be amazing! I’m sure it will be helpful for many many creators, especially beginners

If I'm creating a plain canvas for a painting that has no frame, does that mean I do t need to bake my mesh?
@Syboulette3 жыл бұрын
Hi ! Not necesarily, you could do everything in photoshop or in a 2d editor software. Baking is interesting if you want to include shadows/lighing/bump texture inside your diffuse texture.
