The blue tak works okay too, but glue dots are my favorite for single placing. They last for days. It's so annoying to have to keep adding the pink wax into the pen. What is your favorite place to get good quality diamond paintings at a reasonable price. I wish I could afford dac but most times the price is out of my range. @gbmaltese Жыл бұрын
I've tried the museum putty in my single placer, but the putty seemed to always come out and stick to my drills. There are others who use the putty in their single placers, I just enjoy using the micro glue dots. The reason I use the micro dots, is because they are easier to get into the tips. Hope that helps!!
@missbroto_8 ай бұрын
hey Gaby! Do you have any tutorials on how to remove this museum putty to clean the tips?
@gbmaltese8 ай бұрын
I haven't done any videos on showing how to remove it, but I just use either a pair of really sharp tweezers, small scissor tip or other items that will help scoop it out. Just be careful not to scrap the sides of your tips, as it can damage them. I just take my time, and don't have any trouble. Once you get the putty to start coming out just pull it out and you will get most of it. You can also try thin plastic objects you might have around the house. Hope that helps!
@missbroto_8 ай бұрын
you're so sweet, this really helped a lot. 🥰 Currently I'm using a small toothpick, as the material I'm using looks like gum, it requires a little patience, but it's possible to remove all the material from the tip. Hi are the forever tips screw on? where did you get that brown pen you were using, does that come with a square drill head? thank you
@gbmaltese2 жыл бұрын
No the tips just push in. If the tip is a bit small for the diamond painting pen you are using, I just wrap some scotch tape around the end of the tip to make it fit more snuggly. I don't use square-headed drill tips - I've tried them in the past, and they are worse to use than the round ones on both round and square drills. I bought the brown wooden pen from: www.etsy.com/shop/FollowingTheGrain?ref=usf_2020 It does take a few weeks to get pens from him, as he doesn't make them until he gets an order and he has a full-time job.
