I have basic knitting skills from my mom, but this was the first piece of clothing I’ve ever actually knitted. I loved making this because I recently moved across the country, away from my family, and knitting is something that’s always made me feel really close to my mom. Question Please! Once you cast on 7 stitches for the button hold side, how many rows or CM did you first work before adding the first button hole? I only heard you say you placed them 5cm apart but didn’t say what amount of rows or CM for the first button hole placement. It’s my first time making a garment and I would like to make sure that I do it correctly. It’s been very easy to follow along with up to now and your instructions have been great. Hi! On the written pattern for 3-6 months you mention Row 99: 15 knit stitches, bind off 18 stitches, 15 knit stitches, which gives me 48 stitches - however I ended up with 42 stitches after previously binding off 3 on the side. Please could you update this part? Thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Mandy Goddard no, no answer :( But what I did was knit 13, bind off 16, knit 13 and it turned out just fine. After that you follow the same written instructions... hope that helps

Thank you for this tutorial, I have been crocheting baby sweaters for years, I got a little burnt out from crocheting and always wanted to knit one, you made it very easy, the only thing I was confused on was the sleeves, are we decreasing every 5 rows or just the after the 5th row? Hi I have done the 3-6 months pattern and got to the separating of shoulders it says to knit 15 bins of 18 and knit 15 which adds up to the 48 stitches I started with but before this I bonded off 3 stiches on two rows which left me with 42 stitches - are you able to clarify what this needs to be .
