Paper & Glam thank you for the tutorial. I just received and totally fell in love with my first kikki.K planner (from the new mint collection), and purchased my first ECLP a few months ago. I fell off the "filling in my planner" bandwagon a few weeks ago after experiencing the sudden and tragic passing of one of my sisters. I could not bring myself to glam it up and make it cute when my world literally came crashing down around me. Following the "do more of what makes you happy" motto, I now need to continue documenting memories and moments so that her children (4, 1, and 1 month) can look at them when the time is right. This video has given me ideas on how to archive. Thank you.

Thanks for your tutorial!! It inspired me to put my planner into a Filofax A5 Malden. Your video was the first I saw that didn't cut into the boxes which was a deal breaker for me too. I really hope the Erin Condren team listens to you and offers their planner uncoiled with a solid edge so I don't have to add so much bulk next time with the shipping labels (don't get me wrong, it's a brilliant solution to the current situation!) can't wait for your next video!

Great Video! I think that would be great if Erin Condren would sell the pages uncoiled too! I love being able to fold my EC in half as well and love how it stays intact to keep as a memory/scrapbook, but also love the look and feel of an A5. Keep up the good work!

Pure genius using label paper to cover the holes! All the other videos I saw, people used washi tape. I wish Erin Condren would sell unbound pages. Maybe we should flood her with requests! Thanks for the great video.

It may put holes through some of your writing/stickers, etc., but you can have all your pages rebound with a spiral binding at FedEx for around $5. I do this with some books that we use for Bible study so that it's easier to flip to and then also the book will lay flat. I love your videos, so much inspiration!

Great video! You know, I have been finding those A5 binders to archive at the local thrift store for 99 cents. I didn't know what I would do with them, but now I do!

YAY!!!!! I first saw this idea from Stephanie from Taestatters, she did the same thing with her planners but they were different pages. But I have an EC and needed to know HOW to add it to my leather binder planner. I love this... it's the B.E.S.T. idea that I saw so far! I am so grateful that you took the time to show HOW do it. The plum paper planner is very similar to the Erin Condren and can be ordered unbound. I've seen a few people on YT order it this way.

I just moved my ECLP to my A5 Kikki K and I found that trimming the outer edges of the pages helped them fit better. I no longer have a border on the far outside edges of the pages, but I'm ok with that. I wound up cutting down the tabs and reattaching them to the tops of the pages and it's perfect. :) Just an idea if the tabs sticking out of the sides will drive you crazy (like it would have me, lol).

You did such a great job on this video! I put my EC in a pink patent filofax and had to move the tabs to the top because they stuck out so much. Next year I'm getting a kikki k so it's a bit wider and I don't have to cut into my EC so much. Thanks the for awesome video :)

Hi Lisamarie, great video. I actually had the same problem of the lamination separating from the cover. I think you mentioned that you may have trimmed the seam off, another possibility is the hole size. When it's too small or even exact, there's not enough room for the page to move freely. I had to double punch to get an oblong shape, kind of like an FC page lifter. A couple nice benefits to a laminated cover or page lifter, is that they provide a more stable support to write on, and they help keep your pages from curling under the rings when closing your binder.

Just an idea for anyone who is thinking of trying this, you could probably cut off the tabs for each month, or even make new dividers all together with the tabs at the top of the page. It might be more crowded but wouldn't interfere with the clasp. Another thing to keep in mind is the Kikki k time planners don't use the button clasps like the personal planners they have an elastic that runs vertically which wouldn't interfere with the dividers :)

When you mentioned taking out months as you complete them, it got me thinking--you could also do the opposite as the year comes to an end and start adding in January of the following year! I definitely was carrying around two planners at the end of 2014 to make sure I got any upcoming 2015 deadlines into the new planner and using the ECLP in the Kikki K could fix that!

Cilla Latte Hi there, yes they are all digital so you can print as many copies as you'd like and use whatever stickers work for you! I don't have a printer either. Your local office supply store can print them on sticker paper for you. I did this to my planner in February and I am not liking it as much as I thought I would. I still love my planner but it is now so much bulkier. If I wasn't a poor uni student I would just buy a new EC planner when they are released tomorrow but I don't have the money so I am just going to suck it up, live with the planner for this year and save to buy a new one (AND NOT CUTTING IT) for next year.

I do have a question, I may have missed it, but how did you set the hole punch to get the proper holes punched? I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or anything, but a solution to the tabs not sticking out without slicing the pages is to trim them off and reattach them at the top. There is at least one video on KZbin of how to move them. I did it with mine and I love it.

What some people do is cut the tabs on the side, and re-add them back to the top. A gal on one of my planner groups didn't bother to cover or cut off the coiled papers and just placed her coiled papers inside the a5 binder using the existing holes.

Just wondering if you thought about ordering a custom planner cover fron etsy? I know of one shop (can't remember for the life of me the name) that has beautiful planner covers in a filo/kiki style. You just insert your coil bound planner into it (like a book cover) and no one is the wiser ;-)

I would love an Erin Condren planner. I have been looking into getting one for months now, but I just don't know if I want to spend that much money on a planner. I cannot touch the planner or see it in person to know if it will work for me especially since I have large hand writing and I like to write down almost everything that has happened in the day. I am having issues with food allergies and I have no idea as to what I am allergic to, so I write down every time I have a reaction for reference along with what I ate. I am also a lefty, so I don't know if a coil will work for me.
