Thank you for the explanation. I would like to ask you why, even though, in the comparison, you changed the oil ammount for the production, the results show exactly impatct ten times higher for the production of ten kilos of chicken pasta? The Oil quantitative seems not to influence the results, which are onl affected by the quantitative of chicken pasta producted

Hi. Can you specify system boundaries and compare impacts from different parts of the supply chain, for instance (a) cradle to gate with (b) farm gate to retail and (c) retail to grave and so on....
@openLCA3 жыл бұрын
Yes this is possible in openLCA. We keep this in mind for future case studies that we will publish. As a teaser we can say that we are working on one case study on dental floss.

Hello I have a naive question. I was following the steps to get the report, with 50g olive oil for 10 kg pasta and 10g olive oil for 1 kg pasta. The numbers I have produced for 10 kg are not 10 times of the 1 kg pasta. Could you please explain? Thanks.

How do we capture the impact of the Mediterranean spices?
@openLCA3 жыл бұрын
In this case, you need to create a process which describes the production of this flow (Mediterranean spices) then you will be able to see its impact in the process results, contribution tree, Sankey diagram etc) by changing the required impact category!

Hi! Is there any material regarding Hot Mix Asphalt LCA analysis on OpenLCA?
@portland_russ Жыл бұрын
I still don't get it. The ReCiPe point for, in this case, Chicken pasta, must be one quantitative value, for example, 0.5 Pt/kg. Then we calculate with the same method, for example, Fried fish, we get, say, 5 Pt/kg, and clearly see the difference. The result must be self-explanatory. Here the result contains multiple options and it's not obvious which one I should choose for further calculations. Simply put, I need a total single score.

Thanks for the complete explanation, Few of my queries are... 1. Normalization and weighing methods are not showing in my software,( I'm using the student version of ecoinvent 371 database and ecoinvent 37 lcia methods) 2. There are not any single score indicator results when I compare two product systems 3. When I select result analysis tab for calculating the results for product system, after too much time it shows a pop-up windo demanding more memory and then I allocate more memory in files>configuration, again same error!

Hi, thank you for this video it was very to understand. May I know how can we do comparisons of different product material through cradle to grave using OpenLCA. What type of database is normally used to analyze packaging materials? Thank you, desperately need help on this!
@openLCA3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Indeed you can compare different products by creating a Project in openLCA. There, one can compare Product Systems, which would hold the environmental impacts of the product under consideration. There is even the possibility to play with Parameters here. Regarding the database, the most important thing here is that your database covers the background data that you require. You can check the different databases we provide and the focus topic here: nexus.openlca.org/databases

Hello, where is the result of different amounts of olive_oil?
@openLCA3 жыл бұрын
Hi! the results sum up the different amounts of olive oil and pasta together. If you would like to see specifically the olive oil effect, then you may fix the same target amount of pasta but only change the olive oil parameter value !
