Also, your tips about pregaming the classes (and knocking out some credits with straighterline) were huge. Thank you, Josh!

@JoshMadakor2 жыл бұрын
Hey Innovate. This is just my opinion, but I don't think you can ever be "too deep" to switch. Look at me, I bounced from IT, to Security, and now into a bit of development. There is so much overlap that it' snot really a big deal to switch between different areas of tech. Your experience in other areas will make you stronger overall, I believe. So if you feel like you want to switch, I would just do it as long as you're financially OK!

Hey Josh, do you think SANS technology institute bachelors is worth it for the price? I’m thinking of getting a simple bachelors from WGU and then going for it. Thoughts?
@JoshMadakor2 жыл бұрын
I have a really long complicated answer in my head, but if it's SOLELY for the sake of getting a bachelor's degree, there are way more economical ways of getting a degree. Consider my CS, IT, and MS Cyber degrees cost less than 15k in total, I'm going to have a hard time justifying a single undergrad degree approaching that number. BUT! my circumstance is way different and the reasons for getting the degrees may have been different. For example, maybe you don't JUST want a degree, maybe you want one specifically from SANS, or maybe you want access to the SANS network or (any other reason), maybe it's worth it! Sorry for the wishy washy answer, but this what came to mind. I also don't really know much about SANS, other than they are quality/expensive, so keep that in mind :)
