This is THE SOLUTION! I don't know if the problem is specific to F450s but Ive noticed several F450 owners encountering the same problem as I did. In my case, my Trail Air pin box would encounter and compromise my bedrails. After watching several reviews including those posted by "Enjoy the Journey" and "Go Your Own Way", I ordered a GH-8060 to connect my toy hauler to my 2021 F450 with the Ford factory puck system. Problem solved. More than sufficient bedrail clearance but more importantly, the pin box does not come into contact with the bedrail now as I maneuver. I can confidently jack knife the trail if I needed to. Very heavy duty construction (though actually lighter than my Trail Air) with a top notch finish, easy installation at home. Top quality product.

So much counter/cross talk about switching from a 5th wheel Pin Box to a gooseneck hitch/Pin Box on extra heavy toy hauler RV's. Esp[ecially the GD Momentum Class 376TH's and above. There are youtube channels saying the extra torsion and flex at the king pin with a gooseneck could be responsible for some of the Frame Flex/Failure issues being seen? Not just Gen-Y's gooseneck conversions mind you. Where does Gen-Y stand on the gooseneck conversions for these bigger/heavier 5th wheel RV's? And is there a direct model of Gen-Y 5th Wheel pin box that is recommended ? Thanks in advance

Still confused as to why I would calculate at 22% when I have weighed. 2300 pounds is the most ive seen weighed yet my GVWR is 14,195 pounds. If i went 22% of my trailers weight, then I would be over payload on my truck by 1000 pounds, and over the max hitch weight as stated by XLR, which technically over now. Also, I have a BAL/NXG frame, not a lippert, but the Moryde pinbox model is a 1621HD

How does your calculation method take into account variables like a generator installed in the front compartment as well as other things like a Lithium battery bank, 3000 Watt inverter/charger all of which adds extra pin weight vs the same GVWR of the same RV without extra weight such as the examples mentioned above? I have a 44' Firth wheel toyhauler with a 20,000 lb GVWR. Using your calculation method that comes to 4400 lbs but the same RV without the additional items will have less actual pin weight.
