SirPounceALot It is my pleasure! Sometimes you just need to see it from someone maybe you feel is more like you and not so intimidating as a crafter I think. Does that make sense? I adore watching the professional girls but it could definitely feel like you can't possibly do it like they do. I'm rambling now lol.....glad I could share and hope you'll give this way a try! Hi Sweet Brigitte... Thank you so much for simplifying the shaker technique. Your way of making these cute little shakers seems quicker too. I always cut foam tape from a roll, and you need to make sure you get all over and every corner so the shaker bits don't fall out. I like to use candy sprinkles, and they are tiny, so I think I am going to give your way a try. I use candy sprinkles in case a little one opens the card up, this way if it gets eaten, it is safe. Thank you again so much. Have a fun evening. Surie

KINDERKRAFTS Well hello, friend. Now that is smart using candy sprinkles! Hi Brigitte, great tutorial! I will use other methods so I don't waste the products I purchased to make shakers but I prefer this method for the reasons you stated. I like my work to be as professional as possible and this method allows that. I used this card stock layer method when I made my grand daughters initial shaker paper clips. Thanks for sharing! Tracey
@shoeprincess18 жыл бұрын
T Johnson Hi Tracey! Well I definitely use my foam tape for other purposes and will have to pass a few sheets of foam off to my daughter and her friends. But I totally understand that! I guess trial and error are part of the process lol. But yes, this method makes for a clean, sharp look for sure. I have seen those foam sheets cut down and used as a large "foam dot" with wet adhesive. Maybe that's a good way to use it up too. TFW sweetie, hugs! Brigitte

Hey B! Another great tutorial! I think I like your method the best. I think cutting it 6 times is worth the effort. Shakers aren't my fave as they're so time consuming and so hard to keep it clean. I've tried foam with either glossy accents or Aleene's glue and it's not the easiest thing and doesn't look pretty on the sides! LOL!. My OCD would cut another piece of paper to make it straight! LOL! tfs sweetie! Big hugs, Christine

I love making my shakers that way as well if I can. Because your soooo right about the foam. It stretches of something when u die cut it and looks all wonky. Then the foam adhesive u might have to cut little bits to stick in that one space that a big piece won't fit and when you look at it from the side it looks horrible.
