Great tutorial, and very nice journals. I may try that method for hanging some tassels from the top loop. Thanks for that! I’m a retired hairdresser, and the other day I came across some of those long alligator hair clips I’ve had since 1981, and thought to myself, “heeey! I’m sure there’s a way to use these for junk journaling 😊 Now I know. Very smart! I’m glad I didn’t toss my old hair clips ❤ I’m glad I happened upon your channel. I’m looking forward to watching your other videos. ❤

I would think going through the thread is easy to do on more than one occasion. I’ve done it a few good times on my hard cover journals. It’s annoying as you know what , but it happens. This was a good tutorial and you showed how to correct that thread mishap, that helps us to trouble shoot. I’d like to see you do your covers. Hope you do a tutorial on that. Such beautiful work.

This was a great teaching video. I’ve never done a soft cover but plan on doing one next. I would have never thought of how to measure and place the bottom of my pages correctly where it will stand up. I have a question on your papers. I love the subtle dye on them. I’ve never seen pages dyed green. Can you share how you did that? I love nature themed journals. Yours looks close to the look I’m going for. I’m very impressed and a fan! Thanks again.
@passionsofpaper6 ай бұрын
Thank you!!! I used to use food coloring but now I use RIT dye. It's more permanent, consistent, and makes my paper look buttery soft!
@lbr14996 ай бұрын
Thanks for the quick answer. I’ll try it out. Do you have a teaching video on this? I couldn’t find one but I’ve subscribed ~ I think it would be worth it. 😊
@passionsofpaper6 ай бұрын
@lisabristow7286 not yet. I just use a plastic bin, pour a bit of the rit dye in and add some hot water from the tap. Mix a bit, dip the paper in and pull out after a couple of minutes. Dry outside in the sun if theres no wind, or in the oven between 200 and 300 degrees (whatever temperature you are most comfortable with).
@lbr14996 ай бұрын
@@passionsofpaper I’ll try it. I have some liquid rot dye in blue but I can practice with that. Thanks again!

How do you keep the printables vertically as a full page without bending it sideways?
@passionsofpaper7 ай бұрын
I'm sorry I'm not sure what you are asking me.
@ginah93387 ай бұрын
@@passionsofpaper sorry, i didn't know how to explain it. When printing out digitalis on 8.5x11 paper, it prints vertical so when placing it in a journal i don't want to fold it in half , the picture becomes horizontal. I am not sure how to attache to a signature without folding it over?
@passionsofpaper7 ай бұрын
@ginah9338 ok if you mean like the pages I printed in my 12x9 journal where I printed full page portrait pictures, I cut a strip of paper or fabric and glued it onto the very edge of the printed paper. Then glued another printed paper to the other side. That way the strip is the part being folded, not the digitals.
