Hi JayB, did you first save your original factory sounds to your computer, then replace them with the new programs and combinations? Did you have to buy a new set of sounds? I'm guessing I cant send M1 sounds to my 01Wfd right?

Hey! With the X5D it's not necessary to backup the factory presets because they're stored in the ROM. You just need to load them from there to access them again. And no, I didn't need to buy a new set of sounds since these are my very own sounds. I don't know about the compatibility between M1 and 01 Wfd.

Jay, i have a bank called JayB.X5... how i can transfer it to my x5d? This is not sysex format :(

There should be a JayB_X5D.mid in there too. This contains the SysEx dumps. You can open it with most SysEx tools and midi file players, and definitely with SysEx Librarian and Bome's SendSX.

brilliant! Thankyou sir. Only thing is.....when I send .syx files (individual performances from CS1x stored on my hard drive) from BOME to the CS1x, they seem to go to random memory locations when I thought they would land in the slot I am currently on??? This will make creating my own performance banks impossible??? Can anyone shed any light on this please?

Sorry, a little question about using this program. My keyboard is a Roland JV-80 and in the screen MIDI> SYS-EX there is a parameter that serves to choose the unit number, in this case goes from 17 to 32. But in Send SX ican not choose the unit, and when sending the sysex the keyboard receives nothing. What I can do?

Antuan Artista Multidisciplinar I'd leave it at the normal value. The ID is part of the sysex stream and mainly relevant when you hook up several of these in a midi chain so each synth knows which sysex commands belong to which synth. Usually on the midi in side you should be able to choose "all" so it reacts on all device IDs.

If it's one of these 10$ things then no. I had very bad experience with those, especially with longer SysEx messages.

chrispravda Well, I'm using Bome's software in this video, so yeah, i know that program. But I can't help you with finding the proper data for the M1. There is no easier way for sending pure SysEx data. It's open file and send. Nothing more. If you want to edit sounds from the computer you need to find an editor software.
