Thank you so much for this! After playing around with the brim, it looks like if you max out the first "hair cascade", it will give it a nice "rounded" almost straw hat effect and still lets you use the bone group for maximum floppiness :)

Yes on boots if you are willing for it to look like an optical illusion. Helmets are much harder

Thanks, I actually made a gamblers hat for my gunslinger character. I think I'll probably just use a cowboy hat instead by importing a 3D model from unity but this tutorial was still great for learning the capabilities of the hair editing tool.

I used a pre-rigged hat from Booth and had to merge the hat with another hair preset in order for it to show up in Vroid Studio (stable) but now the hat isn't floppy. I've tried following your video to fix it but the boning keeps jumping around. Any idea how to fix it?

I'm not sure what you mean by jumping around. But by clicking on a single hair and setting that as the bone may be one of the issues. Also it may just need finetuning. That being said I dont know how the person from booth rigged it, you may need to ask them.

Its extremely harder to do...like extremely harder. Your best bet is to just make the hat, no hair, and export as an OBJ and then readd it in Unity

yeah they changed some of the names. It should be in the same spot on the menu. I dont know what it was changed to now.

They are just hair, lol. Its sadly the only way to do it unless you take it to blender and make it from there, but I dont know know how to do that.

You can hide the human ears with the new Vroid! It goes away perfectly as if they never ever had ears in the first place!!
