i really appreciate the tutorial. I was looking for a way to give get an idle animation. as far as I can tell, this example uses the "woman_idle_testJaw_2" animation sequence. Is there a way for me to get that animation somewhere?

Hi! You can find any idle animation in the public domain. For this case, the animation was created by our animator.

Hey mate, have looked everywhere on the internet for a fix, my issue is that occasionally the metahuman face animation repeats. Not sure if this is a bug. I have implemented it exactly as you have done. Restarting unreal engine seems to make the bug go away, but then it comes back. Running unreal 5.2. Wondering if you have encountered a similar issue. Example is it will play the face animation in sync with the sound, but then the face animation continues to repeat the same a few times over.

Hi! It looks like the state machine logic need some corrections. Perhaps avatar's face animation blueprint can't switch correctly between idle and generated animation. Try to add some merkers of the animation lenght like in this video at 3:50 More details about state machines you can find in the Unreal documentation docs.unrealengine.com/5.2/en-US/state-machines-in-unreal-engine/

Hi! For this case, the animation was created by our animator. You can find any idle animation in the public domain and use it with our plugin with your character.

the level being used here doesn't seem to exist anymore, there is a level called sound2talk but when clicking on level blueprint it looks different.

Hi! This is true but we prepared demo project for 5.2 with ChatGPT and shared it in our discord server. This project include MetahumanSDK and OpenAI plugins so you need to disable same plugins from marketplace to run project correctly. Also it will ask you to rebuild the plugins. Hi, very interesting. My work got stuck at 2:55 seconds when I had to enter womanIdle_testJaw_2 (Animation Sequence). What are the steps to making it? I've tried several idle animation in public domains, but with no luck. I really hope you can help by showing us how or by telling us which domains we can use. That way, we can complete this project perfectly. Thanks. I'm waiting for your reply

Hi! If you want to make fast idle animation you can use wave file without any sound and just create lipsync then play it forward and backward to cycling 😉

Sir, I think this is not a tutorial about detachment issue from the body and head. It looks like just voice method that you guys working on it... Can you provide us ideal solution of detachment problem? face Animation and Body animation plays differently it selfs, not connected. face floating around all the time at sequence.

Hi! Main point of the video is Layered Blend Per Bone node in the Face AnimBP that you use on the head to play animations. If you trying to send animations to the head mesh directly like asset head will separate from the body and will play animation as independed mesh. Hi! The main point is conect your animation node to the Cached Body Pose node and connect Cached Body Pose to the Layered Blend Per Bone node. This tutorial shows much more details about work with animations but the main point is use Body Pose and Layered Blend Per Bone.

Hi! If you create an idle from our plugin you need to enable Generate Eye Movement.

Why doesn't the voice and the mouth shape match after each play, and the mouth shape ends first? Preparing Animation Sequences are displayed in the upper left corner.

Hi, I am using unreal engin 5.3.2. There are 2 projects. I download the same metahuman from quixel and apply the same animation. In one project the head separates, in the other project it does not. I don't know what the difference is. Do you have any possible ideas?

Hi! Metahuman have different skeletons for the body and the face. If you send the animation to the head skeleton directly, the head will take the default position for its coordinate system. Therefore, it is necessary to use the animation Blueprint for the face and use the Blend Per Bone node to specify the root bones to map the head position to the body position.

Hi! At the 3:27 you can find short moment where we named Custom Blueprint Event as FaceAnim. It should fix your project.

why no sound ? it's faster when you can also listen. copying what you show when i have to move my eyes between screens without audio wastes a lot of time.
