in addition to this tutorial, if you are using Railclone 3 write the expression in the arithmetic node like this: return if(YSplinePosition == 0,3, if(YSplinePosition == 1,1,2));

How this worked

Thanks. Adding the transoms, changing the Y fixed size parameter scales them up (stretches the transoms on the Y)

I would love to see an updated version of this turorial with the new railclone!

That's on our to do list! Certainly there are other approaches to this kind of object since the new versions of RaiLClone came out.

Thanks for this, but at 9:30 the Arithmetic code always gives an error and doesnt show in the viewport. I also downloaded the final file, there are porblems with the windows itelf extra window is added which can't be removed or edited... Also the Array names has changed, so it would be good to update this video, because at the moment I'm stucked with a single window...

Thanks for the message - as you mention there are several changes to RailClone since this tutorial came out. We will re-record it soon. The expressions require a "return" at the start of the line (no quotation marks) and a semicolon (;) at the end. The extra window can be removed by adding 1 to the first entry in all the Y axis sequence operators. Please feel free to contact helpdesk@itoosoft.com or post on our forum for more detailed info. Thanks!

Great tutorial! Love railclone and the posibillities! ( but do I see a little bit of mullion in the window there @12:58? ;))

Well spotted! I think that might be a reflection of the source geometry in the scene.

How can I make a window with Y evenly included, in which the top/right quadrant is different from the top/left quadrant and the Bottom/left and bottom/right are the same. For example a sliding window at the top from left to right and a fixed glass at the bottom that goes from left to right?

That's a but tricky to explain here - best contact support, or you may find this thread on our forum useful. forum.itoosoft.com/tutorials-27/parameterising-windows-with-railclone/
