@@deborahm4484 hello Deb, Thankyou & welcome. Done years ago I did 30 blankets for charity, I had lovely ladies send me completed granny squares that I joined & bordered to donate to a women’s refuge, it was an emotional time. I thank you for helping out charities that would be much in need, especially in your colder climate 💖💖

I'm definitely with you, Jill, on the 'can't do random'. I plan all my random crafting 😂. There's even random generators online that I have been known to use.

Hello. New subscriber here. I love your blanket. The colors are beautiful and beautifully random! I too prefer no chain between clusters and only one in corners. I think they make a cleaner, more consistent fabric. Thank you for sharing your experience. 🦋

Hi, I'm new to your channel too and I just loved this helpful video! I have been crocheting for many, many years and believe it or not, have yet to make a granny square blanket. I've been searching for someone who only does one chain in corners and no chains between clusters!! I think it makes for a "less holey" blanket and that's just what I like. The slightly smaller hook is a good suggestion too! Thank you again for an excellent video!! I'm ready to start my first ever granny square blanket!

5:33 This is great! I love your colors. They're perfect. I need to start working with DK weight instead of 4 weight. You crochet so beautifully and so fast! How did you learn to go so fast. By the way, I've been practicing with all your suggestions from your videos. I'm not as good as you. I have found that learning to keep a good tension is hard. And I must be a tight crocheter. Have you done any videos on how to do tension consistently. One thing I keep wondering is, has anyone ever measured the height that stitches are supposed to be. I think if I knew that, I could aim for more control. Thanks and Blessings

@@TNBredRose you have made a very good point about stitch height as. Guide for correct tension….leave it with me, I’ll do some research and see if I can find anything related to what you have said, I think it’s a really good idea…I will get to it in the near future. My speed is purely through practice over time, would you believe there are ladies faster than me too…soooo speedy 😆😆. You are doing a great job thinking of those aspects you want to improve, that’s great insight and because you can recognise them I’m feeling certain you will achieve your goals, really wonderful 😁😁💝💖
