a year late, but so awesome, thank you. Can you do a video on how to paint Imperial Assault minis? it wasn't until recently did I realize the IA minis are 25 mm, and a lot tougher to paint

Love these methods for slogging through tabletop quality models. Also appreciated an explanation of "tabletop ready" at the end...perhaps a future topic could be "why tabletop painted quality is OK" when trying to grind through batch painting armies.

Oh my goodness thank you. I was watching another tutorial on how to paint the rebels and i was getting so discouraged by fucking up all the intricate details and such. thank you for showing me that even just a handful of colours on a model can still look great!

Loving it Teri, those army painter washes do so much work.

Hi Teri. Just getting into the hobby. I just want to say thank you for being very encouraging. I’m currently having trouble thinning paints but Sorastro has been extremely nice in giving me feedback. Lols. I just finished a stormtrooper leader and am onto a fourth stormtrooper. I’m not doing too many at once because I want to get comfortable. I’m also going to bust out my Windsor Newton Series 7, even though I’m nervous that I’ll ruin it. Keep up the good work and again thank you for being so positive.

I've had my WNS7 brushes for YEARS and they're now only starting to show signs of wear. Honestly, I look at brushes like consumables, but you don't need to take SUPER SPECIAL care of them. Just rinse them out well, don't let paint get into the ferrule and you'll be fine. Best of luck!

Just discovered you and this is very helpful. When did you use the Cryx Bane Highlight on the scarif troopers? I’m not catching it in the video.

It's the grey I used on the guns and backpack!

It's shockingly easy. One of the reasons this video took me so long to do was figure out how to minimize the number of paints and really figure out an easy technique anyone can do. No fiddly anything. Just basecoat, stippling, drybrushing, and washing. I didn't want to show people to paint camo painstakingly.

You make it look so easy! I fear it's going to take me months to get this done just so I can play!!! Great tips Teri!

It -IS- easy. These are the techniques I use to teach my 9-year old how to paint. It's effective for tabletop quality. :)

What is the name of the makeup brush you use for drybrushing? Great video!
@thatterigirl6 жыл бұрын
ELF (Eyes Lips Face) contour brush. It's a repurposed eyeshadow brush you can get online or at places like Target/CVS/Wal-Mart for 3 or so dollars.

Hi Teri! First of all, thanks a lot for this and previuos tutorial for the Rebels. It's gonna help me get into the painting for sure. My main question is about color primer: I have some old one from the previous game, which is total black. Is it ok to use it in all those versions or just in Endor version? Thanks!
@thatterigirl6 жыл бұрын
Painting on primed black models means you have to do more work to layer up the colours so they're bright and vibrant. Even the Endor model I painted is paitned on primed bone minis. For the sake of brevity I prime bone but if you do prime black, you may want to consider doing a few layers of drybrushed bone first just to have that base tone I show in the video.

Awesome video concept. Can you slow it down a tad? The speed up video moves too fast to follow. Otherwise great, thanks for sharing.
@thatterigirl6 жыл бұрын
Hey Brander! Just for you, I'll cut a slower version down of each of the schemes and upload and post a link in reply to this video. Make sure you hit the notification bell so when you get notified when I post it (it'll let you know when it's gone live.) I just hate watching paint dry so I try to speed things up. :)
