Awesome tip with the first dip Brittany. I'll definitely experiment this weekend with staying more upright rather than the knees and hips pushed forward. Thanks 😁👌

Have been working out with hard style iron bells for about two years. Just bought a couple sport style bells and am wanting to learn sport kettlebell. There are teachers or coaches near where I live, so I'm watching your videos over and over again. What a great coach and teacher you are. Thank you for these breakdown videos they are a great help and encouragement.

Your teaching style is so easy to follow and understand, more of these break downs would be great.👍

Glad to hear that! :) Let me know if there's any specific movements you'd like to see me break down.

@@kbfitbritt When I move on from the basics, that you have so eloquently shown me, I am sure i will hit you up. I am at a beginner stage with basic movements, I am gathering my KB's as we speak. 8-12-16-20-28kg atm, just waiting on my 24kg and that will do me for a while. I am not young, and have had dodgy shoulders for decades, yet your 101 intro to KB's video was the only thing that I could move a weight overhead without pain. That is what got me motivated, I can now work and build my shoulders and chest which I was so hesitant to do before. You have no idea how much that full body movement has helped me break through a many decade stagnation.

Thank you for this, I was wondering if you could do a video in regards to the snatch. I'm trying to learn this coming from hardstyle. I'm enjoying your emails and video content.

During the first dip, you mentioned hip opening. Do you simply point your kneeds outwards or do rotate your upper legs and tuck your glutes/butt to open the hip? This is where I get confused 😢
@kbfitbritt8 ай бұрын
When I say hip opening here I mean a slight external rotation of the hips. You don’t necessarily tuck your glutes and butt, and the knees don’t need to point outward (in fact it’s better if they don’t point outward much, as this doesn’t put you in the best position for the lift).
@taksiobs8 ай бұрын
@@kbfitbritt thank you so much. So, just normal shoulder width stance. I need to practice this one without the bells like u said. I'm still confused on how I can open the hip though hahaha. But at least I'm clear that I don't have to point out my knees to much and no need to tuck my glutes.
@kbfitbritt8 ай бұрын
@@taksiobs stance can be wider than shoulder width - it varies per person. There is already a slight tuck of the pelvis to be in Rack position, but ideally the hips are not fully extended otherwise there is no room to push upward. For more specific guidance on what you’re doing, I can do a Kettlebell Technique Assessment for you: www.kbfitbritt.com/shop/kettlebell-technique-assessment

@@kbfitbritt copy in the room to push forward. This point is certainly clear now as I see a lot of videos having hip fully extended during the rack or 1st dip. I'll have a look at the link. Thank you so much

@@kbfitbritt so I can get my jerk and snatch assessed? If so, that's gonna be 4 x 30sec videos. Right?
