Tutorial to update the firmware to the latest version on a DJI Mavic 2 Pro Drone With Smart Remote

Make sure you first connect to WiFi.
The video has been fast forwarded to save time but the actual firmware upgrade may take up to 20 minutes. Make sure your battery on both the drone and smart remote is fully charged before you attempt to do any updates. Also make sure the free space in your smart remote internal memory is at lest 3GB

My controller has run out of memory for further updates. A large part of the memory is being used in a "other category" What do you recommend I can delete in the apps or catches to increase storage space?

You can delete the apps that you don't use, and also delete the Video Cash on the internal memory, and store them on the Micro SD card.

I saw the video and did the updates as shown, But I still get Error Code 180 and I also get Remote ID Error, can you help with these problems?

There are multiple firmware updates that you need to do. For example Remote control firmware update, Aircraft Firmware Update, and Battery Firmware update.

I'm having trouble updating the dji fly app. I've been to their website but the dji fly app does not show my mavic pro 2 nor my fvp. It only shows dji mini 2, mavic mini, mavic air 2. Can u please help . Thanks.

You don't have to use the website, you can do it from the drone remote buy selecting update firmware just like I did.

I am new to drone flying and smart controller. Your instructions do not show how to get to the page that you are stating from. For us new people we have to do trail and error to find where you are. Thank you for the video very helpful

Hi, if you have the same remote control that I have, then when you turn it on it will automatically boot up with Android and you can click on DJI GO app to get to the main screen.

I have a DJI Mavic Mini & a DJI Mavic Pro. The mini runs on the IOS Fly App and the Pro runs on the DJI Go 4 App... (both for my IOS Apple 8 Phone) to the best of my knowledge)! The DJI site has NOTHING anymore on upddates to my Pro or to the Go 4 App. I guess the app is updated in the IOS Play Store, so when you go there - you will get the latest updates to redownload onto the 'Phone'??. Is there not a secret location to find anything /all updates of any kind, for DJI Drones, as opposed to surfing the internet for hrs to find these, what they do, and when they were llast released... not to mention where on your ouw phone's DJI App to look for the version, buried deep down somewhere in the menu. . This is almost enoug to discourage me from either buying another Drone or even trying to keep up with the 2 models I already have! UGH!!

Two important things. One; you have to have the DRONE connected and Two; You must be LOGGED IN to your DJI account. aka ON-line
