Bro take ratio of Fy and Fx that is ratio of two equation and equate to Fy/Fx that is equivalent to tan theta and try to solve it, it is easily solvable in that manner

The value of theta is usually given in the question itself. The tan theta thing is entirely different, it fetches us the direction of the resultant of the reactive forces.

3 unknowns 2 equations, impossible to get theta... It must be given in the question it self, afterall theta is a design parameter and it should be known before the problem. Note: tan (angle) = Fy/Fx, here angle is not the same theta as that of pipe...

What is the independent effect of the bend on fluid flow if the diameter does not change? The flow rate cannot change, and the diameter is the same so the velocity wouldn't change. So it has to be a change in pressure right? Since the fluid is changing direction, that means it is accelerating and therefore there is some energy transfer. Could you explain the energy transfer process that takes place? thank you

i think we cannot get angle theta here.bend angle theta is different from the angle made by the resultant of Fy and Fx. the ratio of Fy and Fx gives angle made by the resultant but not the bend angle. if i am wrong please help me

Mass flow rate is same as other side m1 = m2. So, rho*v1*A1 = rho*V2*A2. With this I think you can get the diameter.

Sir, Your value of theta is wrong..it is 45° but your value of the forces is correct...cuz you have substituted 45° in the equations...plz cross check once again
