Mines still going strong year's later. The only thing I will note is to turn if off if you go off road. As you can imagine a couple of hours bumping it will drain the whole time. I think i have mine on a half turn but it depends on the bike. 👍

I don't plan to go off road, but you never know haha. At least it's nice and easy to turn off in the location I have it.

Looks good. I was tempted by the Moto Briiz system, they have a felt pad on the swing arm to minimise the fling.

Really liked my Tutoro, though it went with the Honda. It took a bit of tweaking to get between splattery rear tyre and too dry a chain but once sorted, it worked like a charm. I think my manual said one turn or 1.5 turns. Either way, it was far too much. I spoke with Tutoro about it and they suggested only a quarter turn, which was quite a surprise. I would recommend getting the protective cover. A few people have complained about stones breaking the reservoir. I've just contacted Tutoro about getting a new reservoir and they are about £65, so worth protecting. It does make it trickier to see the level though. I never needed the top-up bottle but you might for touring. I could get well over 1,500 miles from a bottle. A couple of tips I picked up from using it and talking to other users. 1) You can use Scottoiler oil but it's thinner, so you'll need to reset the flow rate. 2) Make sure you cover the reservoir when cleaning the bike. Lots of cleaners and degreasers will destroy the reservoir clear plastic. It goes a bit white, then falls to pieces. It's just a chemical reaction with the plastic they used.

I run chainsaw chain oil in my Tutoro....find the thicker Summer oil is best/less fling. Dirt cheap at $5 CDN for one litre bottle. Yes, keep the reservoir covered when washing. I found water can accumulate inside and essentially messes up the inertial valve from sealing properly..letting the oil keep flowing out when parked. Had to dismantle the whole thing and get inside to completely clean up the valve, but now its working well again.

I do like the idea of this as makes life easier than having lube up all the time, but I'm not sure I'm keen with all the zip ties but I suppose it's function over looks.

What be an alternative lube? ATF or maybe gear oil?
@Phil4802 жыл бұрын
I've only used the Tutoro stuff, but I have heard people have used Scotoil or some sort of chansaw oil

What setting did you settle on with the flow mate ? Yiu initially had it at one turn, did you knock it back to about half ?
@Phil4804 жыл бұрын
I was using it at about half, then the dual nozzle came out of place and got damaged by the sprocket, so switched to the standard nozzle. At some point during all that, I’ve had difficulty getting the chain to look like it’s actually getting lubed. I haven’t confirmed it yet but I think the mechanism in the reservoir might be faulty. The flow is fine if I stick the magnet on it so I know it’s not a blocked tube.

Hi pal Is it worht its money? Thanks
@Phil4803 жыл бұрын
Yes, definitely. I still use it and still have at least half a bottle left of the refill that comes with it, and my bike does a good amount of miles throughout the year.

I have one of these on my NC750X, what an absolute nightmare getting the hose connected to the reservoir and now the pipe is leaking but the end nozzle can't be transferred to another piece of hose so now it's useless after 10 months of use, absolutely shit quality.
