With an orthographic camera, the camera’s sensor is the exact same size as the field of view. This is why orthographic cameras don’t exist in the real world.

ortho is only used for modeling a head (exemple blocking step) and then you go to perspective to found the right vertices placement, add details..? Right ? I'm always affraid to see the difference between these when i sculpt chara and don't know i should use perpective. (i'm new of course, in time it would be more comprehensible). Awaiting for your answer ^^

@@empGaming_Music_Movies I dunno man, i don't do body modelling, perhaps it's useful for checking symmetry? ..... it's used a lot in graphic design, less in character modelling i suspect.....

@@retromograph3893 okay, I don’t understand why 3D software has an exaggerated perspective of ours (when we start on without programming anything, the case of Zbrush..)

@@empGaming_Music_Movies I'm not sure i understand what you mean! I don't use ZBrush but i'm 99.8% sure that you can change the perspective of the viewport from very wide angle to completely orthographic (and everything in between) ..... just do a google search on it!

@@empGaming_Music_Movies I think Ortho is used for engineering software too.
