Much like InDesign's gradient tool and methodology. This tutorial gave me dementia. Colour control is fiddly, as demonstrated by this tutorial in which the tutor struggles constantly with said controls. But most demented is the inability to change colours on the fly, you have to create colour swatches first, then edit them afterwards, for every colour in the gradient. Bonkers.

This drag and drop feature from swatches to the gradient panel is an absolute joke. We're not talking about niche functionality here. We're talking about a fundamental way of adding colour to a document in a design application. Do Adobe do any product testing before launching??? Or maybe checking in with other application teams to determine universal application behaviours so we don't have to learn 5 different ways of doing the same bloody thing depending on what app we're in????!!!! Drives me mental. And what an earth is the drag down feature about to delete a colour point on the gradient????? Where the f**k has that come from???? Who an earth would intuitively know to do that???? Why is there not just a minus sign???? The UI team on these apps should be shot

Hi! You can apply your corporate color by adding it to the gradient swatches and then blending it with another color in the gradient panel. Just make sure the tone fits well with your brand's identity! Cheers!

Once you're in the gradient menu you can click the colour and then double click your fill on the left and it'll change in the gradient menu. hope this helps :)!

Had never problems with Gradients in CS5. But now in 2020 there are weird lines everywhere (in radial gradients via FX). I deactivated every line-help-tool i could find. Still they appear and kill my projects. Any Idea? :-/ Is it a bug?

Hi! If the angle isn't changing visually, try selecting the object with the gradient and then use the Gradient Tool (G) to manually adjust the angle by dragging across the object. Also, make sure the gradient is applied to the correct fill or stroke, and not locked. Hope this helps, cheers!

Yes, you can add a gradient to your SVG icon in Adobe InDesign. Here's how you can do it: Method 1: Using the Gradient Tool Place the SVG in InDesign Go to File > Place and select your SVG file. Click to place it in your document. Convert the SVG to InDesign Paths Select the placed SVG. Right-click and choose Convert to Shape or Convert to Path (this may depend on the version of InDesign you are using). Apply the Gradient With the SVG (now a path) selected, go to the Swatches panel. Create a new gradient swatch or use an existing one. Drag the gradient swatch onto the selected path. Adjust the Gradient Use the Gradient Tool (G) to adjust the angle, length, and direction of the gradient.
