NV: Typically lasts 1-3 days. Incubation is 12-48 hours after exposure & patient can spread the virus for 3 days to 2 weeks after symptoms resolve.
@JMPschool12 күн бұрын
This is important info to spread. One of the reasons its so contagious is that people don't realize they are still contagious after they feel better.
@beautifulvictory96832 күн бұрын
@JMPschool1, I don't think it's air borne per say unless you're in proximity to someone puking. Washing hands after toileting and washing hands in general to avoid getting sick is paramount. Of course, if you eat food prepared by someone who's hygiene isn't stellar...NV!
@JMPschool1Күн бұрын
@@beautifulvictory9683 I just assume people eat and lick their fingers or wipe their nose and then touch everything and then you touch it and that's what makes me paranoid. One drop of contaminated saliva contains like millions of NV it and lives on surfaces for a really long time. Alcohol and Lysol wipes don't kill it. It's like the cockroach of illnesses lol. When the world ends there will just be cockroaches and norovirus 😂
@beautifulvictory9683Күн бұрын
@JMPschool1 😆, Totes! How often do we itch our nose not thinking??? Yes, it lives on & on! I hate cockroaches too. Luckily I live in the cold cold where they don't prevail. We have mosquitoes!

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. I'm glad you're starting to feel better. Just remember our bodies heal and it won't always feel like that. Sometimes when I'm sick or feeling unwell I feel like it's a forever thing, when our bodies heal and our sickness dissipate. You'll be 100 percent soon. You're a really strong person ♥️

Nothing is worse than having to get up and go when you feel yucky. It's even worse when you have to travel, and the timing of your period has to kick you when you're down! I've heard walking pneumonia is going around. When I had regular pneumonia, I was covering up in a sweater and blankets. Five minutes later, I was ripping off everything because I was hot and so on!! I hope it's gone whatever it was. As long as you listen to your body and rest if you need it. Have a good snuggle with walnut! Take care, Carol

Lori, it probably was food poisoning, salmonella , campylobacter, or one entero viruses. I don’t think you should go back to dancing right away.. you need to rest and rehydrate yourself for at least 2 to 3 days. You push yourself too much and that’s not always good.. I have been an internist for 35 years and a hospitalist for 12 and I can caution you not to push yourself too much right now.. give yourself a chance to rest and recover. Praying for you..

Actually, food poisoning (bacterial infection) is actually way rougher than viral. I had food poisoning the day before Christmas and it was miserable, I had a very high fever and bloody diarrhea. I thought I was going to have to go to the ER but thankfully by day 3 I was recovering. Depending on what virus it was it could last 24 hours to several days, but bacterial often runs the same course. Either way I'm really glad you are feeling better, anything involving your digestive system is rough.

Everyone contradicting each other about food poisoning vs norovirus is cracking me up lol. All I know is that norovirus is definitely not a 24 hour stomach bug. the one time I had norovirus I was traveling alone to San Diego and spent the entire 3 day trip literally from the minute I got to the hotel absolutely dying until I eventually went to the ER the night before my flight home. Idk if it was a particularly bad case or what but they thought I had sepsis at first. Even after zofran and iv fluids I still couldn’t function well enough to make my flight home so my mom came to take care of me until we could fly home together. It sucked lol. I didn’t start feeling mostly normal again until about nine days after symptoms started. I like to say I’ve been to San Diego physically but mentally/emotionally/spiritually, never been there lol

Get better soon, Lori ❤! It must have been some food poisoning. Just a question for you - why do you eat breakfast and later on your soup in your coat? The same coat you go outside in. The same coat you travel in. Don't you take it off at home 😮? . And the tea from Starbucks... It is so expensive! Especially in the airport. 😢 . Looking forward to your new vlogs.

Oh that’s great to hear you are doing better. I’ve had the 24 hour bug and I’ve seen food poisoning and they look horrible similar. Having your period on top of things is adding insult to injury. At least you should be back to yourself by your NY trip. What a nightmare to be sick on a nice vacation and different dance class opportunity. Oh well you did well and survived well so you are clearly a seasoned traveller. I would have wanted to stay in the hotel one more day to feel better but also want to go home. Luckily the flight is short so you could get home and recover in your own bed with your comfy clothes and gentle food introduction again. You def looked pale at the start and looking better at the end of the video. Hope you get some much needed rest. And sorry if the noro suggestion was annoying. I had heard a lot about it in California going around. Not to mention the fire stress just seeing what’s happening with a stomach issue and pms and cramps. Horrific. You had saltines and knew what to do clearly which shows how well in tune with your body you are. You did all the right recovery things. I don’t think I would have wanted the hotel’s potatoes either. They weren’t super appetizing looking. Bananas and crackers to the rescue along with the electrolytes. You should keep some of those electrolyte tabs in your bag when you travel. Or they sell Gatorade dry sticks. I made myself a get well at home box for days when I’m sick and can’t get to the store. Now that we have delivery it’s not such a big deal but I still keep it and have in it some chicken noodle soup, some gatorlyte and Gatorade powder sticks to add to water, saltines and I think Mac n cheese bc it depends if I got a stomach or a respiratory illness. I also keep a container in my bathroom with medicine for getting resp or stomach illness. I keep robitussin dm, inhalers bc I have asthma and a peak flow meter for that, some some of those vomit bags for those times you need to lay down but want a basin or bag nearby in case the nausea sneaks back up, ibuprofen and Tylenol and due to some other meds I take I have an anti nausea med which has been a lifesaver a few times from medication reactions. Also no rinse body wipes for travel maybe helpful to keep in your bag. I don’t suggest you keep all of this with you but maybe a list of what to take for which illness. Most if it is easily looked up anyways online. I used to travel a lot and kept the basics of Tylenol and ibu and some minor nausea treatment with me along with bandaids for blisters and stuff you already keep bc of dance. In some ways dance has prepped you for the worst case scenario of what to do when you feel like shiz and need to figure out what you feel and what your body needs. I bet the first bath after feeling better felt so good. Feel better and soon you can go enjoy New York. Maybe keep a single Covid test in your luggage and masks in case you get sick so you don’t pass stuff along. Travel inherently has risk but you are clearly very careful with your packing and body and since you were super hungry and ate out right before getting sick you were prob right on par. I hope other people didn’t get sick if it was from the restaurant. I’ve had some weird bug from out food and ended up having the doctor have to report it to the health dept. very creepy. Makes those Trader Joe’s meals in the room look a lot safer. 😂❤

But it was a terrible 18 ish hours of gut of agonizing wrenching agonizing stomach aches and throwing up and explosive other. Sweats and chills I thought I was going to die.both happening at the same time and I could hear my husband in the other room going through the same thing and we’d just watched our children go through it not even a full day before. It’s a short lived virus. I’d say look it up but you I already know that there is no way you don’t have time busy bee 💗💗😁 I love your videos I hope you keep on the mend. Lots of liquids and water. And lots of rest I know you don’t have time to rest but you need some rest 💗💗💗💗 safe travels and get better
