Hopping is fundamental to shuffle dancing. Master hopping and you will learn to shuffle dance. I realize you can get leg and foot movements correct but without the proper hop, you will feel like a stiff board trying to hula hoop. The hop has timing, pace, and stability. The hop sets the rhythm for your body. Master hopping first before learning the shuffle.
