TV Antenna Facts

In this video I answer some TV antenna questions and I tell you some facts about TV antenna broadcast TV antenna towers and TV stations. I will show you how to pick up TV stations from a hundred miles away. TV antenna questions and answers. . Buildings bend, tall trees, and hills power lines can deflect and weaken its signals.
The HDTV antenna signal has a ‘line of sight’ type of signal. tThe more you raise your antenna, the better signal you will receive. Antenna signals travel through the wall and another surface. Another fun video, if you were living in my area Danny your phone would be ringing off the hook. So many folks have gotten tired of Dish and wanting local channels because they now are using Netflix on their internet. These folks would not know how to act if you provided that service. Still waiting on your fishing adventures. I know you got to have so fun gadgets you made for boat, like seeing the underwater camera in action. I find your other channel. I thought I had them all. Right, there are so many things that can interfere with the single. To close it can over-shoot, power output, terrain, angle, reflector, antenna gain, and more. Good vid

It is my understanding each station broadcast on a different frequency. Antennas are built to be geared towards those frequencies usually in 1/4, 1/2, or full wave which gives you the elements length. I would think that if the guy wanted to blow past one station or just wanted to build a antenna for a specific station they could. Commercial antennas are built with average length elements to pick up a wider bandwidth of frequencies. Since a full wave would pick up better than a 1/4 wave I think I might try building one for that station specifically. couldn't hurt to try. Enjoyed your videos, thanks, keep them coming.

Of course you can- however I would recommend stacking them vertically, using a HHH. (Holl_ands Horizontal Harness)

Danny, there are no stations that are 100,000 kilowatts. Kilo mean thousands. The million watt stations are 1000 kilowatts. 750 kw stations are 750,000 watts and so on! Enjoy your videos, Buddy.

There’s a big hill where I work. If I drive next to it, I lose local FM stations, and get stations from another city instead. One TV station never works there, either.

We have a lot of cell tower interference, as well as Large Mountains in the NE US. I live 80 miles from Boston and 60 miles from Portland, Maine. 67 Channels on a good day.
