TV Meteorologist Passes Out Live on Air

California meteorologist Alissa Carlson suddenly collapsed during a live morning broadcast on KCAL-TV in Los Angeles. "Thanks for all the texts, calls, and well wishes. I am going to be ok!," the 46-year-old mom and former Mrs. California posted on Facebook. Nine years ago, after getting sick on the air, Carlson discovered she had a leaky heart valve. However, she assured viewers that this fainting episode was unrelated. Her station says Carlson will be back as soon as she's well enough.

Someone passed out on the train next to me on the way to work yesterday morning. Honestly, one of the scariest moments, and I never felt so helpless. We could only keep him on the floor, allow him to regain consciousness, and keep his legs raised until we got to the next stop. Thankfully he seemed okay before we had to leave. Wishing this TV meteorologist well.

I completely understand what this woman went thru, my situation is a bit more serious, I now have a pacemaker and defibrillator unit in my chest, but I basically kept passing out jus like she did and I blamed it on my diabetes and low blood sugar, I was in total denial, until it happened while I was getting into my car. I was taken by ambulance and went rt into emergency surgery to implant the units in my chest to correct my heart issues and prevent total cardiac arrest again. I'm very lucky to be alive today, my story could have ended very differently, especially if it had happened while I was behind the wheel. oh man i hope you're ok. i've had several heart surgeries, most were when i was born and a few months old, and what not. one was quite recent (4 years ago... or 5, i dunno tbh) because i think i had a leaky heart valve or something similar, i'm not sure. i only have half a heart, and sometimes i still wonder how i fought to keep myself alive, and how i was still super loud and vocal when coming out. it was wild bruh
