I personally think this fanmade bluray version is far more accurate to the manga and made much better. Mappa somehow gave Levi a whole new identity with the exaggerated nose and odd facial features. It’s not even the levi we’ve seen in the last three seasons or looked at throughout the whole literal manga. Mappa needs to hire you cause this is literally the most pleasing video I have ever seen.

This is such great work! I think for some of the three-quarter views of his face I still prefer the official, but you did a great job in the profile and front shots. Some of the shots in the official definitely have a weird model and you stuck to his traditional look. I like it a lot. I also really like all the brightening effects. It's been dimmed quite a bit in the official release, which is unfortunate, and you added a lot of life back into these shots.

I'd say you increase the brightness too much at some times. Other than that, apart from the Thunder Spears, everything looks amazing (for me). You did the Levi spinning move brilliantly, it looks smoother in your version. Oh and the additional shots are phenomenal too 👌

Like some additional shots you have animated yourself. Didn’t mind the blur when I first watched it but would now prefer if they removed it (apart from in a couple of action scenes where it actually makes sense e.g episode 7- you’re in a warzone, that air gonna be polluted). Beast Titan looks much better without the blur which is surprising as you can see the cgi more.

I mean you can't say it's better than the real blu ray when volume 2 isn't even released yet lol. The volume 1 did have reduced blur and increase in saturation and they actually reduced Levi's chubbiness in many shots. If they change the white lighting to blue like wit used to do, it will be awesome.

The so called blur in blu ray is just for focus, it blurs the background so we can clearly see what they intend us to do because at times they just go unnoticed and this also is only in 3-4 scenes.

@@talphazero1036 Yeah yeah I know, but that shouldn't prevent you from being able to see the lines of the drawing. For example Wit (without falling into fanaticism) had many dark scenes but always knew how to achieve a clear image. In fact, one of the great weaknesses with Mappa was that, they did not illuminate the scenes well, it was difficult to understand the details of the drawing at first glance. They may have done it so that the CGI is not noticeable, however I think it ends up being more damaging.

WITs designs were sharper while MAPPAs where rounder which to me they were fine in the trailer but for some reason they made them more rounder in the final product. Ik the trailer was pre-animated by a different group so my guess is that they made the trailer after starting the anime if not then I dont see why they couldnt use the trailers character design.

FINALLY. The wait was worth it too! Yes, a lot of the frames looked too fanmade, but I've read what you had to say about this fact, and I totally support your decision. I'm a bit upset that Zeke didn't go through any design changes (his jawline was way too wide in this season, and his nose-- horribly inconsistent), meanwhile Levi was constantly made more handsome and skinnier than he's supposed to be, but regardless-- great job, totally worth the wait.
