Pastor Damina, like many other pastors asking and receiving tithes know that, tithing is scriptural but not obligatory. What's obligatory is giving freely, whether you do it in the form of tithes or contributions, it doesn't matter. If you give, you recieve more blessings from God.

Anything in the bible that is not given substance by the authority of Jesus, and the redemptive work is not scriptural. The word "scriptures" in itself means the writings of Christianity. It is the undiluted Word of God. Christianity started in the book of Acts. Hence, tithing is not a Christian doctrine, and also it is not scriptural.
