Cosmetic surgery is not safe anywhere, not just in Nigeria, I've heard of stories of women who've done it and died abroad. It's not worth risking your life for it. Just learn to be comfortable in your naturally created body, take care of it and dedicate it to God as a living sacrifice.

Mariam, it’s not actually about the price in America. There is a specification in America on the amount of liquid fat that can be sucked out at a goal. And this requires doing the procedure in batches, so people leave to other places to do it so they can have it done once which America doesn’t allow.

Why I love Miriam"s perspective on this show , it was well expressed 14.00 to 14.19
@ladymariamoa2 ай бұрын
That book you read Mariam is very toxic and shouldn't be encouraged to seem normal to accept in any good society in my opinion. Why should a female want to use her inheritance to get big bum?!!! It shows she lacks self confidence and contemptment with her body or needs therapy to know she's okay how she looks as that's not death threatening disease or illness that needs surgery. Aoothu bilahi minar shaytani rajeem. There are men who love no bum, some love big bum, some love skinny body, some love plumpy body, some love thick body. However, good and decent men don't even care about body parts, but if there's overall compatibility in mind,spirit and soul with outlook of living a good life in my opinion. For me, when I was much younger, I used to add and loose weight out of stress of schooling and working so much and wasn't happy with my on and off weight gain and felt stressed with change of clothes, so I bootcamped and exercised it until I had my normal body back. Never thought of surgery as I knew that wasn't the good way to approach such. I never dieted as that too has it's consequences. Just did my normal fastings and then break and eat at appointed time as a Muslim lady, which is different from dieting that has restriction of what to eat. So going back to the topic, things like bbl or other body enhancing surgeries are very risky in a country that medical surgery is not top notch and people who don't fear God/ALLAH S.W.T, so it's best not to think of such as it's not a surgery to remove disease or illness or sickness, but to body enhance which I don't support anyone to do, even if medical surgery is top notch. Let thy body grow and reduce naturally in a good way, as there's a form of skinny that is harmful too, just like obesity is harmful. If anyone gets body shamed, it's a form of bully and a crime, that can be reported in first world countries with severe consequences of such or such criminals should be ignored and blocked from one's life,if in a country where there's no law to protect such a bullied person, so that people don't commit suicide nor get pressured to do such body enhances which are dangerous and can lead to death as sadly in the case of this dead person. Hope these my good suggestions and good share, helps anyone struggling in this aspect, to love thy body and be contempt in going the natural way via exercise and only use surgery to remove life threatening illness or diseases only and not any form of body enhancement, as it's not worth it.

@Alice-y7g3w2 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's a little bit dicy due to our own cultural factors. I also look at it from the aspects of people who have had accidents, fire incidents etc and who are desiring to remove their scars and have better bodies through these plastic surgeries, apart from the 'beauty sells' category. So, there should be greater emphasis on accountability for those carrying out the surgeries, and also more awareness for those desiring the surgeries.

The rate in which young girls are dying from Bbl, is alarming,even if you go to reputable hospitals with crash cart ready, Bbl is still dangerous. If you read up on Bbl, you will know it’s dangerous.They take some fat from your abdomen-you at risk of embolism.If sterile field is broken- you at risk of septic infection ( which can kill you quicker than anything else.Recovery time- you have to be monitored closely for the first 24 hours after the procedure- fat embolism can always travel to the lungs- big no no.Its just too risky. You should only take that kind of risk if your life depends on it,like cancer surgery .❤❤❤

Na wa o. Lord have mercy. What is God saying. Even in other parts of the world, these things happen also, if there is no death, there are gealth consequences. O ma se o. So is this really the story for the other side. She was trying to make her bum bigger, then died in the process. Sad, supet sad. Whether she did it for a man or herself, this is sad. The devil is the one laughing. A human being made in God's image and likeness, dies this way. Comforts to her family and friends. If only she had just trusted God completely with her life, women are doing well in career, marriage and feeling confident. If you know Jesus Christ truly, your mind will be proper. Romans 12:1-2 anyway, it is sad. And for those who want to go this route, leave it alone. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. There are beautiful things about you. Miriam dissected the issues well The fact that we want to condemn people for doing BBL does not mean that the practitioners or surgeons does not nean that they should not be held accountable when they mishandled their ckients snd they die from negligence. Whether is morally right or wrong to do BbL is not enough reason to allow the surgeons or the practitioner to go scot free if the error is from them

Hmm 🤔💭.. I can't believe Queen Morayo asked if BBL is worth the risks,❓ And I kinda disagree with Queen Mariam Longe. Looking at her, she has fit in into the demographic of Pretty Privilege and what Beauty standards stand for almost all her life, if not all her life , she's Classic and Classy with Vintage Style, so she can't understand most of the pressure these Ladies are going through and their insecurities. Most of these ladies have been brainwashed with the phrase Beauty comes with Pain. The Gen-Z want themselves some Brazilian Butt Lift to be in Vogue and for the attention and social media trends Also it should be noted that, to maintain BBL, you must also exercise and hit the gym to keep it in top shape. So it's not that you get it done and it's over, you still have to train your body. Cosmetic surgery just gives an Head starts.

I think Morayo is muddling up issues. You don't go out seeking malaria neither do you go out seeking an accident. Malaria treatment is not 50/50, what you're talking about is medical malpractice or negligence, which is what Mariam talks about. You cannot liken the scars you have or diseases or illnesses to BBL surgery. They are miles apart. BBL surgery is elective, you choose to do it because of non-life threatening conditions. Other cases can be life threatening so don't mix them up. Like Maryam said, fashion will come and go and trends will expire. What is most important is to build the person to love who they are from a young age to encourage self esteem. It is the lack of self esteem that made bleaching popular and external influences to change people. Some people are insecure and that is what this is. It is insecurity because you are worried about the way you look and you want to adjust the way you look. What happened to your bum? Is it that there is no pad enough when you sit down or your bones are touching the chair? If people are doing it for the grams, men or any other mundane reason, they are insecure. Even when I hear Mariam, I like her view but I still sense the big influence of oyinbo this nd oyinbo that. This means Nigerians as a whole need a renaissance as a society so that we know who we are and appreciate who we are and what we are as a people so that we don't keep copying here and there. We see this in our society where we like foreign things and we are insecure to appreciate what is our own. We always want to be like others so bad, even our politicians are insecure, they want to build outside and buy homes outside Nigeria. We need a mental revolution of our psyche.

Societal pressure has really dealt with a black man, especially women, i understand the pressure but trust me as a doctor, it not worth it, most times even when you survive the whole procedure, there are times when you could have complications. Even the most experienced Doctors do dread the procedure and even when they try to do it, they really charge you so high to scare you away, unfortunately our people always prefer going to a cheaper option regardless of the risk.

You don’t own anyone accountable but yourself. Those doing the surgery are like business owners who need money like you and I to survive. They do it and it work and some die on it just like people going to hospital to be cured and they survive while some die. Nigeria should learn how to think critically. Nigeria society is over sexualized society and female body attraction towards opposite sex depends of what the sexual markets requires of them to win likewise men who go for penis enlargement. All surgeries are not high risk but the hospital you go to matters. I live in Turkey and Turkey is a surgeries tourism destination. People all over the world visit Turkey for different types of surgeries. Because of their professional skills of doing surgeries. So, surgeries are not a high risk stuff but lack of professionals is the issues in Nigeria system. We constantly have accidents in Nigeria road but in Europe the roads are build to standard
